I'm honestly shocked. I was expecting them to pull her from Singapore's concert cuz I knew her condition was worse than they were letting on, but if they're pulling her from the remaining dates than it most be really bad.

I'm more mad than I am sad. I'm happy they're letting take a long break, but for them to only do it after letting whatever she's going through fester for so long.. I'm outraged!

I just hope they give her all the time she needs now and to stop FUCKING UP THE GIRLS HEALTH.

i hope that jype really does get mina the best care possible. god, i don't love seeing 9-member girl groups drop down to 8, but i'll take 8-member twice any day if it means mina is actually getting quality mental health care. that said, i'm fully prepared for this hiatus to last months, so i just hope that the fandom is patient.

I don't follow Twice closely so I don't know the whole story with her knee but I get so upset by how companies often allow significant injuries to get worse by not actually giving idols the time off they need to heal them (or even when they're bad enough to need surgery! they'll be denied time off even when they're at that point!). It really, really sucks because something like a knee injury really can impact the rest of your life and nothing is worth the sacrifice of your health. It's shocking to me how even in the most successful groups, even looking at it from the horrible idols-are-our-resource capitalist perspective, they don't consider idols' bodies as a valuable enough to be protected. They just grind people past the breaking point because even the most famous are only expected to last so long. :(

This is so sad. Anxiety is fucking rough and it's been essentially the scourge of my life (I don't have a panic disorder, but I have severe GAD) and hearing about others who suffer from it makes my heart ache. I hope she does whatever makes her feel good and healthy in the time she has off, and that she's with people who make her feel good. I also really hope that she's able to get the best care she possibly can (if that's what she wants to do).

Now JYPE sees the need to care for her health and full recovery? If they didn’t treat my girls like working machines and in the meantime allowed them to proper rest (who am I kidding? This is kpop) she wouldn’t be suffering so much. Mina is part of the dance line, so her knees are everything to her and sure will affect her mental health and increase her insecurities. She has always been a softie so it breaks my heart that she has to go through all this. Actually, anything related to Twice’s bad health or bad rumours spread about them have huge impact on how they work, bc they are NEVER allowed to seat out on bad situations. People tend to forget how very young they still are and I wouldn’t be surprised if Mina’s parents intervened for their girls since they’re always following her.

From the day they announced her absence from MS I've been blocking anyONE thanking JYPE for taking care of her health. Bitch where? They squeezed & squeezed & squeezed till she broke, and you're thanking them for that. Keep your BS out of my sight. Imagine my shock - not really - when I read the new "rumors" - true I'm sure - that they're preparing Twice for another tour in Japan at the end of this year. This is the behavior of a company who prioritize their artists health.

They’re “letting Mina rest” but you know anxiety/mental distress isn’t limited to just her. Jeongyeon and Sana have really struggled publicly, who knows the full extent of the mental anguish these poor girls deal with. They’re all still so young, I hope JYP can take better care of them before something bigger happens.

Sana looked very skinny and frail in their last Pocari event. JY cried live once talking about their preparations and insane schedule and their company paint it as hard work while asking fans to buy even more of their stuff. JYPE is SME level of trash with their breadwinner GG and I think Twice situation is even worse than SNSD most busy years.

If I think of Soshi’s PEAK peak (mid 2009-2011) they were busy, but not the same kind of busy. Album promotions were longer and you had multiple singles from one album. Plus “social media” was doing a star call every once in a while and answering a handful of questions on UFO town. There was no “Soshi tv (TwiceTv) to shoot, Instagram to update, V lives...having that little bit of “downtime” in vans and waiting rooms and dorms when you’re not “on camera” is likely crucial.
