That is true but I also meant costume-wise, BEG used costumes very similar to the music video. These are very tamed but idk if there's minors in this group so I guess this is ok.
The youngest member just turned 19 this year so i’m perfectly fine with them still wearing tamer costumes. Companies don’t usually care about that though. Most likely the reason is due to backlash since idols like hyorin and hwasa got heavily scrutinized for even wearing body suits without the safety shorts
Probably, BEG have always had the same issue but they never cared. You would think netizens would be used to it by now given that groups like BEG have existed for a while since them. Which is why I want BEG to come back again, maybe inspire more of the other groups to be more bold and ignore netizens.
To be fair when BEG came out with abracadabra most of them were in their mid to late 20s. Before that they also wore more conservative outfits and were similar to girl groups now. I think for them they just reached that age so they felt more free to be more sexual beings. Although i would prefer ultimately for girl groups to be free to wear what they want. If they want to wear baggy clothes or suits or skin tight bodysuits they should be able to. I think in g-idle’s case they seem more comfortable in the clothes they have for this round of promotions rather than the outfits for this performance. It could just be the company afterall forcing them to do this song in particular and thats why they’re not completely executing the performance and outfits
No, I think the difference is BEG didn't debut as idols that's why they dressed more tamely. Because they all debuted in their mid twenties except for Gain. They debuted as a vocal group so they were only supposed to sing while standing lol they did later change on next year to idols and started moving and wearing skirts and stuff that were more 'idol' like.
But in that regard, the age difference definitely makes it different too. BEG debuted at an age were most groups now are disbanding or going their own ways lol. Though Gain did say her "sexual" awakening was when she was around 20 and that's when she started dressing sexier lol
So it's mostly different because of the age and how they didn't debut as idols. Besides them, I think only Dalmation also debuted with most members closer to their thirties lol
Ohh when did BEG do Lady marmalade? I feel like BEG probably pulled it off because they all have such big stage presences and personalities that they could all go solo and work the stage with their presence and charisma. For G-idle for me i only really sense that with soyeon and maybe soojin

You are welcome! It's one of my fave performances of them tbh, also S&M by Rihanna, Gain and Narsha did a duet you can find it all on youtube but as I said, the fancams are meh.
That was nice but i agree they didn’t really go all out. Of course they’re not broadway performers though so it’s not completely fair to hold them to the same standard but maybe in the future with age they’ll be more free with their performances
