Flashback Friday
2019-07-05 02:33 pmHappy Friday! Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we’re going back 9 years to the 1st week of July, 2010. The top three have already been posted before, so we will check out some live stages.
#3 Son Dam Bi “Queen”
This is the last era I remember from her musically, mainly because of the music video lol. She’s been pretty active exclusively as an actress for a while now. Song’s a fun bop! I hated the styling this era, but she looks so good. Ahhh her body and those abs!
#2 MC Mong featuring Mellow “Sick Enough To Die”
This song was part of a compilation album from hip hop producer Kim Gun Woo’s project group “Blue Brand”. He did a few of these albums, they were all pretty successful. If I’m not mistaken, this was the last release from MC Mong before the enlistment scandal. No live performances for this, so here’s an audio video.
#1 Miss A “Bad Girl Good Girl”
Third time posting, so I wanted a more recent stage. Here’s the ladies doing the song in 2014 at a show in Beijing. Their whole debut era was so good and holds up even now. I still love that sassy choreography so damn much lol.
Honorable Mentions
#9 Narsha “Bbi Ri Bba Bba”
American Horror Story who? It’s a little creepy and I like it. This was one of the singles from her solo album, and is her most successful solo song. Serving so many looks, it’s hard to pick which one I like the most, but I’m especially digging the ones with the red hair.
#10 Sistar “Push Push”
This was the debut single and omg I can’t believe how much I remember of this even though feels like so long ago lol. I loved their whole debut album so much. This MV always made me laugh because the boys working in the diner looked so little. The girls were still in their teens and looked young too, but the boys really looked like they were in middle school lol. I just realized that Miss A and Sistar debuted at the same time and that blows my mind.

Date: 2019-07-06 03:54 am (UTC)Miss a’s choreo has always been great and unique even though i didn’t like their debut song much. I think i started getting into them during Touch promotions. I can still see the appeal since the song is pretty catchy
Son dambi has always had some bops. I prefer saturday night to this one though. I wonder why she’s just sticking to acting now
I remember jamming to push push and enjoying their debut even though it seemed like a lot of people were hating on the song and only got into them during the Alone era. I know that they often use trainees as actors in MVs but did they have to make the girls flirt with guys that look like their younger brothers? It just looks awkward. Also didn’t notice that one creepy shot in the MV of some old guys staring at them until now
