President Trump and Ivanka Trump got a surprise welcome party at South Korea’s Blue House: members of superstar K-pop boy band EXO.

An excited Ivanka gushed about the group’s “phenomenal” performance at the closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, which she attended, and cooed over copies of their latest CD, “Love Shot,” presented to her and her father.

“Oh, and it’s signed!” she exclaimed at the Saturday rendezvous.

“Really great job, fellas,” the president said.

probably not but most koreans i've met actually like trump a bit because they think he'll help with north korea. according to my boss, a lot of people feel like he's the first us president in a long time who's actually making an attempt to help. and then of course some people LOVE him because they love the us, though those tend to be more conservative old people though i have met high school students who have told me how much they love trump.

From what people are saying this seems to be a common occurrence with exo but SM also seems eager to agree to bring them to these political events, which is unsettling. Idols are probably not even allowed to voice their political beliefs on a public platform and yet they’re supposed to attend these kind of events? Make it make sense. Of course I don’t want them to be forced to be around Trump because in general he is terrible to the people around him and not just his policies.

i'm not sure how much of it is sm's doing or not but it seems to me that moon jaein has always had...a particular fascination with baekhyun that seems to have extended to the whole group lmao. during his campaign he tweeted a birthday greeting for baekhyun and baekhyun has sung the korean national anthem twice at olympic-related events, cbx has gone with moon jaein to china, exo performed at the olympics and now we have exo meeting trump.
