Hello. This is Song Joong-ki.

First, I'd like to apologize for delivering this unfortunate news to the many fans who love and care for me.

I have begun the process of filing for divorce from Song Hye-kyo.

Rather than denouncing one another and arguing over who is to blame, I hope that the divorce process can be wrapped up amicably.

I ask for your understanding in regards to the fact that it is difficult to discuss the details of my personal life, and I will recover from my current wounds and do my utmost as an actor to repay you through great productions in the future.

I think most Las Vegas marriages I know tend to last longer because the couples are not in it for the wedding as much as being together and the marriage itself. I think the divorces that I know of are the really big weddings with short dating span beforehand.

i’m really quite shocked about this. definitely don’t think this is simply personality differences and the timing of all of this seems fishy. celebs usually try and keep this stuff quiet as it has a negative effect on their images (thinking about all those cf deals etc) but it’s as if he wants the maximum publicity (with his drama airing and all) but is pretending otherwise.

i wish her and hyun bin had worked out - they seemed so compatible and had great chemistry.

SJK gives me fuckboy vibes. IDK about SHK, I don´t judge her just because she dated some co-stars, maybe judge for her tax scandal? But she seemed really quiet after the hate she got for dating her co-stars.

I don´t know if someone cheated, but... the way SJK acts is idk, I remember when he and Park Bo Young got dating rumors in 2012, she had to denied, but SJK really liked the rumors, and kept making it worse, PBY went along at first (for promo sake), but after the promos, it seems like she was all alone having to deal with the hate and trouble because of those dating rumors. To make worse SJK even claimed that he wanted her to be his girlfriend/to date her.

PBY interview "Song Joong Ki oppa is usually good to the actress he stars opposite of. Every time we filmed, he said I was the prettiest and the cutest, but he doesn't only say those things to me. He doesn't even contact me that often." PBY was 22 old, SJK was 27 old, I disliked how he acted to be honest, he was older and senior.

Then, another thing I found weird was, how he kept focusing and talking about SHK looks, how she was so pretty, and he decided to marry her because she was the "SHK". IDK seemed like pretty superficial reason to marry someone, like she was a trophy.

SJK interview “I definitely have to get married at some point, and I just think some things are more important than popularity,” he commented., “The biggest reason is because it’s Song Hye Kyo. Since it’s Song Hye Kyo, I figured it’d be great to spend the rest of my life with her.” and he kept saying in other interviews "but really, my wife is so pretty".

I read rumors from netizens and fans about Song Joong Ki having an Affair With Kim Ok Bin, how they kept getting caught together off set and going for car rides, also rumors about another woman going to his house (SHK was living with her mother).

Also, I dislike the way he went ahead and released the divorces news by himself, his statement is pretty calculing, he says "We hope to finalize the divorce amicably and without attacking or placing blame on each other." but right after it says "I will recover from the pain of this time" This pain he mentioned already made netizens think it is SHK fault, since he filled the divorce first (feels betrayed, hurt).

I'm sure he knows how media always put SHK in a bad light, because of her previous dating rumors, so his statement and actions leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

SHK statement seems more neutral and does not put blame in just one part.
