it's basically a mutually beneficial name only relationship at this point (business wise, member wise they all still talk about him/to him he called in at Xiumins fanmeet to say good luck in the army). exo's name more clickbaity and gives him leverage in the west since kpop is more well known than cpop and lay keeps the exo brand alive in china.
