Sandara Park Says She’s Only Dated Celebrities + Reveals Secret Dating Tactics

On the June 8 episode of MBN’s “Hoon Man Jung Eum” (literal title), Sandara Park appeared as a guest and spilled the tea on her dating history.

MC Kim Sung Joo asked, “Is it true that you’ve only dated celebrities in your lifetime?” and Sandara Park replied, “I debuted in the entertainment industry when I was 20 years old, and I only dated celebrities after that.”

Surprised, the MC followed up with, “Is your workplace the reason why you only dated celebrities? Are the people who you’ve dated models, actors, or in the same field as you?”

“Most of them were in the same field,” answered Sandara Park. “When [singers] go to music shows, we exchange looks, and those kinds of things happen naturally. About 100 singers gather at year-end award shows. It’s fun when you spend Christmas, end of the year, and New Year’s together.” She added, “The important thing is that you have to [tell] your members.”

The other guests then commented, “How did you not get caught once? When you go on dates, you want to go to delicious restaurants and things like that, but you must’ve been really secretive.” g.o.d’s Park Joon Hyung joked, “Are you sure you’re not the only one who thought the two of you were dating?”

Sandara Park then said, “In order to not get caught, you have to be ‘cyber lovers.’ We mostly met in cars, never went out to eat, and never got food delivered. We just starved.”

“Hoon Man Jung Eum” airs on Fridays at 8:20 p.m. KST on MBN.

korean fansites have reported a couple of times that kpop agencies seem to be okay with hiring former idols stalkers (also knows as fansites headmasters) as staff to work next to idols ... i guess that puts dating staff members almost in the same level that dating fans

I mean when she debut in the Philippines, it was no secret her ex boyfriends were Hero Angeles and Joseph Bitangcol. They all competed in that reality show that launched her career. Hero finished first, Sandara was second and Joseph was 9th. Sandara and Joseph low-key dated even though people didn't ship them together, and then broke up after she left for Korea and got recruited by YG. It was Hero that people paired her up with, years later he blasted her on the internet and blamed her for the decline of his career. In the Philippines, a lot of newbie stars get popular when they get paired and create a "love team" which means you do movies, tv series, commercials together. Being a "couple" was their brand. There were rumors of them fighting all the time, especially with the culture/language barrier, etc.
