Date: 2019-06-08 03:02 pm (UTC)jooheon and im were great in hyping up the crowd and crowd interaction in general, their duo song was a spectacular highlight. hyungwon spent AGES taking fan's phones to take videos with. minhyuk was hilarious during the commentary breaks (everyone was and put in extra effort in talking in english). wonho took his shirt off at the end and wow that bod. shownu's everything was adorable and he's truly an amazing performer. my favourite performer would have to go to kihyun though, his vocals were mindblowing, his dancing was great, and he went above and beyond in interacting with fans.
i've been to a few kpop concerts now (kcon sydney, kard. eric nam, wanna one, monsta x) and while my favourite one remains kcon since i got to see loml meiqi, i have to say the monsta x concert is the most worth it from the perspective of a stan. their production value was the best and their setlist was longgggggg (also omg only for $55.80AU). the ridiculous amount of fanservice given was staggering, idk how anyone can quantify the amount 'monbebe' was said by the members (and omg all the cringe-worthy fanservice lines lmao)
TL;DR JUST TRY TO GO TO A MONSTA X CONCERT. WORTH EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEIR MUSIC.
(the one thing is that all the songs kind of start sounding alike lol, especially since the structure of their title songs are pretty much the same. but that's the case with a lot of groups so it's nbd.)

Date: 2019-06-08 07:51 pm (UTC)their music does sound alike, but tbh it works to have a cohesive sound because it makes them different from a lot of other kpop groups who change styles or concepts between comebacks. the concept system works super well for most groups so it's not a criticism, but monsta x really have one of the most cohesive discographies of any kpop group because even their ballads have a specific sound to them.
