Jang Jane says Nam Tae Hyun cheated on her

Music artist Jang Jane, whose romance with former K-pop boy band member Nam Tae-hyun went public in April, said Friday he had been cheating on her.

Jang disclosed on Instagram a screenshot of an online chatroom conversation between Nam and an unknown woman he dated behind Jang's back.

In the chatroom, the woman, after learning that Nam's relationship with Jang was not finished yet, accuses him of lying to her. The woman reportedly heard from a friend that she had seen Nam and Jang together at a movie theater in Seoul's Yongsan District.

The woman claims in the chatroom that Nam lied to her that he and Jang had split a month ago, while Nam explains that he and Jang are "only friends."

Jang also shared a screenshot of a text message she received from the woman, who apologized and said she "would have never dated him if I knew you were still dating him."

"It was all lie," the woman told the New Era Project star in the message.

Jang, who rose to stardom after the TV music competition "Superstar K: Season 2" on Mnet in 2010, also posted on Instagram a memo of her post-cheat thoughts. She says she and staff at her company were dumbfounded when Nam went public about their romance.

"If he was going to cheat on me, he shouldn't have gone public about our relationship at the first place," she said.

In the memo, she further asks Nam's fans to "stop sending me bullying text messages" and warned the four-member rock band South Club's front-man to "at least keep some dignity ― although I doubt it will ever happen."

The short-lived romance came after they appeared together on the TV reality show "Studio Vibes" on tvN that first aired in early May.

The South, the agency Nam' established in 2017 after leaving WINNER the previous year, and New Era Project admitted the romance in late April. The newly announced couple's joint appearance on the program had made headlines.

After Jang accused Nam of cheating, the show's producers reportedly began editing pre-taped contents showing the two stars.



Jang Jae In Responds To Hate Comments Following Her Post About Nam Tae Hyun’s Alleged Cheating


Jang Jae In has spoken out against people who have left hate comments on her Instagram.

On June 7, Jang Jae In posted multiple screenshots on her Instagram Story of direct messages she recently received. She wrote, “Since it was a public matter, I spoke after considering the hate I’d receive. Fans of Nam Tae Hyun, please stop.”

In the screenshots posted by Jang Jae In, netizens believed to be fans of Nam Tae Hyun wrote comments such as, “You can deal with relationship problems between the two of you, are you satisfied now,” “Your popularity is at rock bottom, so I’m sure you’d like to rise up even if it means stepping on Tae Hyun’s head to do so,” “I know you want attention, but calm down on the attention-seeking,” “Do you think coming out together at the press conference makes any sense.”

Previously, Jang Jae In had accused Nam Tae Hyun of cheating on her after posting a series of photos on her Instagram as proof. The photos included screenshots of direct messages that Jang Jae In received from a woman identified as “A,” who stated that Nam Tae Hyun lied to her and said he had broken up with Jang Jae In to be with “A.”

In April, Jang Jae In and Nam Tae Hyun confirmed that they had begun dating after they had started filming the tvN variety show “Studio Vibes.” During a press conference held for the show on April 29, the couple commented on the beginning of their relationship.



Nam Tae Hyun Responds To Jang Jae In’s Accusations Of Cheating


In the early morning of June 7, Jang Jae In posted a series of photos on her Instagram as proof that Nam Tae Hyun had cheated on her. The photos included screenshots of direct messages that Jang Jae In received from a woman identified as “A,” who stated that Nam Tae Hyun lied to her and said he had broken up with Jang Jae In to be with “A.”

On the same day, Nam Tae Hyun took to his Instagram and responded to the accusations.

The following is the full statement from Nam Tae Hyun:

“First of all, I apologize for stirring up trouble. I offer my deepest apologies to Jang Jae In and the person who messaged her. While it is clearly my fault, it is unfortunate that the media is publishing some things that are untrue without confirmation. I am currently sorting things out, and I will release a handwritten apology and explanation as soon as possible.”




He has since deleted his post.

Honestly, good on her for exposing him and good on the other woman for making it super clear that she wasn't a knowing party to his philandering ass.

I'd be hella pissed if I were her - the woman almost always loses when relationships are exposed and it doesn't sound like they were all that serious when it started. The thing that gets me is that whole section about Studio Vibes (I read that elsewhere) and how he manipulated her into not continuing to hang out with the others. I was not into the YG show that created this group. Only paid attention to them after but everything I have ever heard about this dude has not been good.

Yes cheating is bad but it happens and i’m glad she directed all her anger to the guy in this situation but when i read that he tried to keep her away from her cast members that’s when i thought hell no. What kind of possessive “only i can be around other girls” bullshit. That’s what i don’t get. If you know you’re likely to cheat don’t get in a relationship, just freely date different people without commitment or at least communicate with your partner to maybe start an open relationship.
