SM Entertainment has now confirmed the news that EXO’s Chanyeol and Sehun will make their official unit group debut!

In response to the reports, a source from SM Entertainment stated, “Chanyeol and Sehun are currently working hard to prepare for their first unit album, with the goal of releasing it in July. Please anticipate it.”

they're two of the most popular members in korea and china that's why. Sehun's chinese fans could be the only ones to buy this and it'd still outsell 95% of albums released this year.

yea Chinese fans don't mess around. Lay sells 4x what CBX does overall just based on his chinese sales.

here's a breakdown of numbers based on sale receipts posted by the bars for TEMPO for their group orders

exo baidu Bar - 100 000K < there's no breakdown on how many are just pcy and sehun fans
Chinese Kai bar - 13K
Chinese Sehun Bar - 30K
Chanyeol Bar - 20K
Chen Bar - 4K
Xiumin Bar - 3K

these were just the ones who wanted to share their totals, doesn't account for other group orders or private purchases made with chinese retailers these were just from korean imports if I'm reading the receipts right.

I couldn't find totals on We Youngs digital sales.

Chen sold 210, 000 in korea and did better than any exo song digitally on release but I can see Sehun and Chanyeol beating at least the physical sales. Chen's album is interesting because it feels like a record more than just exo-l supported so it's hard to gauge how other solos will do or how cbx's sales broke down by fan, it was assumed baekhyun fans carried their sales but with chen's release it's either not nearly as much as people thought or chen's just gained a whole bunch of new fans as a ballad singer willing to buy physicals.

Oh thanks for the breakdown. The solo bar numbers are less than I expected but maybe it’s because they chose to buy with exo bar.

Also I think that maybe the physical sales for Chen are high because most people are fans of the whole group, which is a good thing. Anyways looking forward to chanhun’s album!
