I swear if SM makes this album a jewel case...RV tends to get the short end of the stick in terms of everything from promo to budget especially compared to their other (note: boy) groups.
They better give this the summer magic packaging treatment and hope though that unlike summer magic they actually print more than a certain amount and restock when they get sold out
I rag on YG a lot but your comment def reminded me that SM feels like a boys club in a lot of ways, they have great female artists but they aren’t treated nearly as well
Yeah I started stanning snsd back in 2010 and throughout the years watched how sm treated snsd, fx, and now red velvet in comparison to their boy groups and its very clear they have a preference for their male groups
yeah its, like a recent example would be how RV sold out their north american tour yet SM never bothered adding anymore dates to also declining great interview opportunities that were offered to RV like the build series
compare that to say NCT who got a build series interview and SM adding tour stops like the recent London concert when NCT havent sold out their previous concerts lol its so blatant
Tbh how SM treats NCT is a big reason why while I like a few songs I’m not into them. They’re clearly treated like the favorite child and it’s off putting

They printed only 75k of the deluxe version of the album that sold out during the pre order phase and never bothered restocking
With RV though they have an unusual amount of jewel cases for their albums more than any other SM group which sucks since SM does some pretty nice packaging when they decide to put in the effort.
on jewel cases, i got the red for christmas the year it came out, and the moment i opened the cd the front case snapped off
every single kpop group with a jewel case i own (it's not many, it includes a trax album, super junior h's album and the smtown 2009 album) has the front half of the case snapped off. they're so poorly made? like i hate western jewel cases as well but i've statistically broken fewer of those than i have kpop jewel cases, even though they're essentially the same
