Omg ok I'm very surprised BUT IN A GOOD WAY WOW  I mean the MV is underwhelming but the song is better than my expectations I had none tbh so I'm relieved lol

ALSO THE ALBUM IS SO GOOD, it's their most coherent, freshest and catchiest album to date, please give it a listen omona 🔥🔥🔥

Ooh sis what is JYPE's Division 2? I'm uninformed!

I feel like Division 2 spent all their promotional budget on Kim Sangjoong (why's he involved??) and nowhere else for this comeback.

I thought the MV looked kinda cheap, but I know I'll like the live stages much better and the dance break near the ends looks cool.

This song doesn't hold a candle to Lullaby tbh so I'm slightly disappointed in it as a title track, albeit Lullaby would be REALLY hard to top tbf.

I do like the relative lack of Jackson and especially Mark on this song. Yay! And BamBam did pretty good with his parts! (See, I can compliment GOt7's rap line!)

Jinyoung wasn't looking as tasty as usual. Still good ofc, but I think he has to have the exact right amount of bangs for me to wet myself.

I don't like waiting this long into a vid to have to see JB's gorgeous visuals, especially if it means sitting through Youngjae's oops, but there's a lot of JB in the second half which I appreciate.

Someone was at the dregs of their creativity cup when they made that mv, wth. Especially with a name like Eclipse and all the cool stuff they could have done... It just feels so random and blah.

Yeah, it feels rushed, like they remembered at the last minute they had to produce a MV.

Honestly it does feel a little like that. I hope it's not true. Also I hope the MV doesn't affect people outside the fandom checking out the album (it seems like sometimes if casual fans don't like the comeback MV they don't take the time to listen to the album).

Edit: Also, if all of this is for the tour then they should have promoted the tour better!

So the song was decent, I liked Youngjae's part, but I didn't fall in love with it. The MV is meh.. but there were some pretty choreo parts that I'm looking forward to seeing in the comeback stages.

I feel like Mark's rapping has improved, in some of the previous songs my first reaction to the rap line was to cringe, but I didn't feel it so much this time, but on first listening, I didn't really feel *anything* so much. I will need to listen to the album next.

Overall a solid effort, but it wouldn't be a song I would use to attract new GOT7 fans

This choreo snaps. I can't wait for the live stages. I didn't love it on first listen but it's grown on me since then after a few listens. That bridge with the eye covering choreo is the best part. Love it even if it makes me a little dizzy. Page is awesome and I liked time out on first listen too. Yugyeom also remains Superior to most with music taste and production. Even without effn, his song is still great.

I'mma chime in on the Division 2 hate. Literally what are they doing. The tour needed to have been announced months ago. Literally everyone and their mom is touring and if people knew for sure that the tour was happening they might have saved money instead of going to small nugu groups. Also why not release the MV at midnight? Now people have to decide whether to stream online or on platforms. The incompetence is staggering. They did so well with Itzy debut I had hope, but seriously this promo cycle is the pits. The boys don't deserve this level of stupid. (And now I fear for that Itzy comeback)

I love the choreo at the bridge, too. I think this will be great live.

I liked the MV tbh because my bb Youngjae got all that screentime and looked so good bless

I'm excited to see their music show stages

So Lullaby was a fluke :/ JYPE. I wanna be nice but in 2019 when nugu's are putting out better music, production, and MVs with 1/8 of the budget...the creative team needs an eval.

spinning top (i still hate their album title) is a very cohesive album all in all! personally i definitely think it's an improvement to their previous album (present you) which i didn't like as much for reasons i'm sure i explained in a previous album listening post. spinning top seems very harmonious, and it reminds me of verse 2 in the sense that you can tell all songs were made to go together, but i also think that just might be a point of criticism for some people! i'm not saying that this is my opinion (it's really not) but i have seen people say that verse 2 is cohesive to the point where all songs kind of overlap, aren't distinctive anymore so while it's a good album, it doesn't have anything that stands out. and that is where i am with this album, funnily enough! idk if it's because i haven't listened to it enough yet (maybe) but while it's all very cohesive and good, it's not like super exciting? :o i'm very glad they added page at the end of this album because i think that song saves it all in terms of not being exciting. page is a banger, really! can't wait to see them perform that song on a stage :>

got7 generally have a problem with choosing the right song as a title track but idk, i think they made the right choice for this album! yeah, page goes off really hard and it's a fan-favorite from what i've seen but i still think eclipse is the best song for promotions. like eclipse is not my favorite song but page is more of a concert song imo! that said, i can't stand the eclipse mv, like. jype. what are you doing. please! get yourself together

once again, idk if this is because i haven't listened to it enough but one thing i noticed is that jb kind of fades into the background on this album? i love his voice and usually seek it out so it's very curious. i guess it's something that'll get better in time, once my brain gets used to the songs. :')

okay, it's 2019 so i really need got7 to stop that weird singing thing they do (and have been doing since their flight log trilogy) where they start a line normally and then go into a falsetto at the last syllable like... does anyone understand? lmfao anyway it's something i very much dislike. also... the autotune. bam's song is sooo good (they usually are) and idk if all that autotune is his idea but if it is... baby, please stop. but jinyoung's part in his song is like... one of my fave parts on this whole album lmfao so thank you bam! just yeah, the autotune. i don't even think he needs it, he sounds good with his normal voice so idk why he seems to be so fond of it. it's to the point where i almost can't enjoy the song even though i really really want to

sorry for this long comment! all in all, i like all songs very much. i can't wait to seem got7 perform them in concert!!!!!!!!!! i'm not sure about a ranking yet but i'd say all of them are pretty even except for bam's song which i would rank second only because of the excessive autotune :')

also fuck division 2! i watched got7's vlive today and i was absolutely baffled by how imcompetent their assigned staff is oh my god... i've never seen so many angry tweets from kfans than i have since this comeback was announced lmao

Oh OK. Yeah... JYPE might want to consider reorganizing the staff if it's so blatant and obvious it's affecting the comeback.

i definitely don't think that about verse 2 either! it was kinda funny to read at the time because i love verse 2 so much and every song to me is a wonderful piece of music so i was like :o but yeah, i guess it's just gonna take me a while until i can fully get into the rhythm of this album. plus, i listen a lot to eclipse so all the other songs kinda have to take a backseat there. either way, it's such a good album! i wish some people would look beyond the title track and actually check out the rest of the songs but w/e

yes!! i think it works well with some songs but not so much with others and i'm honestly so ready for them to stop with those quirks! it doesn't always work well when they sing live either so... but also!! from what i've seen in like popular mainstream pop music, stuff like autotune is still very trendy which i guess is why got7 feel no reason to stop either. i mean i totally get that but i still think it's unnecessary lmao

The album is great!!! still think eclipse was a missed opportunity for something so much better and the song/MV is forgettable (lullaby really set the bar high...) but i don't hate it!

Meh.
Lullaby really was a lucky strike for GOT7.
I thought we were finally going to get continued growth or variety from them.

...it sounds like their latest stuff, which is just... okay. I'm not in love with it, but at least it sounds miles better than what the teasers led us me to believe. The video is incredibly cheap looking and Jinyoung doesn't look amazing as per so someone fucked up. I don't really have anything else to say about it other than they need a new creative director/team.

I haven't listened to the EP yet as I've been dealing with bronchitis, so hopefully I'll be able to give it a go in a few days.

Also, slight edit, but rapline on the title track actually sound great so I would like them continue that—especially Jackson with losing that tone he's been using for a bit.

Whew, lawd, it took longer to get around to this than I thought—bronchitis really is that bitch.

1. 1° A great way to begin the EP. I really like this one. Everyone sounds great on here. I especially like the chorus.
2. Eclipse I can see why this was the lead, but I prefer "끝". I'm happy that the teasers were misleading and this turned out great.
3. 끝 This is the one. I'm not surprised that this is the Jinyoung track—he just gets it.
4. Time Out There's something about this one that I really, really hate—I think it's that detuned synth that permeates the entire track.
5. 믿어줄래 This was one of the tracks that I was worried about when we were given the credits and... yeah, I'm not in love with it. I like the chorus for the most part, but the verses let it down majorly.
6. Page I was really enjoying this one until Jackson opened his mouth on the "I think I love you" line and then the second verse happened. Unfortunately rapline doesn't mesh well with the instrumental on this one.

That makes three out of six tracks that I like. This is after two to three listens so we'll see if my opinions change, but I doubt they will. My issue with GOT7 is that when they get it right, they're amazing, but they often fall short of the overall package. I feel like they've really stagnated after the 7 for 7 era.

I may or may not be able to comment on the album but I'll listen to it tomorrow when I go to work. I watched the MV this morning... I'll agree with most of the comments and say that this kind of makes miss Lullaby. But that doesn't mean I don't like it? I'm excited for the live performances. I'm sure that'll make the song grow on me more.

MV is really terrible, like the dance scenes were better off not filmed because of the CG. Song wise, it’s a little generic, but nice listen. Though it’s definitely not my fave title track. Jinyoung looks a little boring, like they forgot to trim/style him and just let his Miracle hair grow out. Actually the rest look better now than in the MV, Mark and YJ especially.

Album wise, my fave seems to be No1, and then Bambam’s one. Jackson’s rap put me off Page, but it is still a nice listen. I was disappointed at YJ’s song though, my fave songs are usually what he composes.

Won't mention the mv.

This is probably my favorite got7 album. 1° and 끝 are right up my alley and both are continuations of the sounds Yugyeom and Jinyoung have put out. I'm completely ok with that. I wish there was a lot less autotune on Bambam's track. Was looking forward to it the most from the album spoiler and the actual song sounds much more 2000s redux than I want.

OT but why is the actor Kim Sangjoong involved in this comeback? Not a complaint (great for networking, especially for Jinyoung), just confused.
