Actress and singer Hyeri of South Korean pop group Girl's Day has joined a new management agency to focus more on her acting career.

Creative Group ING, an advertisement company, said Tuesday that it has signed Hyeri as its first star artist to manage.

"Hyeri is loved by many people and has great potential for activities in the music, entertainment, drama and movie sectors," the company said. "We will give her our full support."

Hyeri, who joined Girl's Day in 2010, also earned popularity as an actress after playing a leading role in the mega-hit TV drama "Reply 1988" in 2015.

With the latest contract, Hyeri left the quartet after nine years. The three other members -- Minah, Sojin and Yura -- have already gone their separate ways.

It seems risky to join an agency which doesn't have any experience, but I wish her luck.

I've recently been re- listening to Girl's Day a lot recently and they had some bops. Expect/Something were great and i will always have a soft spot for Twinkle Twinkle.

I hope it works out for her, I don’t follow actors but i hope her name comes up often (in a positive way) lol

This post just reminded me that Girl’s Day is no more :((( they had so many great songs.

same! i hate this trend of not really announcing a group disbanded especially since it's usually a breadwinner group of the company. the least they could do is announce it officially to calm down fans from harassing their social media channels, etc.

The last news I heard was that the agency denied their disbandment so I didn't even know that everyone pretty much went their separate ways. But yeah, at this point they need to just disband and be done with it. Reminds me of Secret where they went on hiatus for a good while and mentioned talks of a comeback that never ended up happening and then boom, everyone ends up leaving the agency.

After hearing that one former idol allude to girls’ day being b*tches to their nugu group I’m glad I haven’t heard anything about them recently. Signing to an advertising company as a actress seems weird to me but maybe karma is playing its hand

it was not just her saying this about GD, they are pretty well-known for being extremely rude as a group
so i'm not surprised nobody wanted to sign her tbh

the tea is from 2015 when Girl's Day where on their group-success-high, i could buy it. But I also could believe that they matured a lot since then.

girls' day had some jams but realistically i only saw minah or sojin continuing in music anyway. they were the only two in the group who could actually sing. i'm glad she's able to continue on in the industry though

i miss girl's day so much, it still doesn't feel real that they've actually disbanded?? i hope she does well, she seems to receive a lot of unwarranted hate no matter what she does but i love watching her do anything tbh

Who is behind Creative Group ING? Sometimes it's better to go with a agency where you know that you'll be their number one priority than a big agency that has a mega rooster.

I remember when she was ignored as the least talented one in Girls Day. I still remember the days when she got roasted for her bad vocals when fans do MR-removed videos. Never expected she would be the one with the most stable career in the industry.
