they did him dirty with that cover shot
- wants to try being more unpolished (but in a good way), doesn't wear makeup or shave for videos, wants to be himself
- doesn't diet anymore bc even tho he was in good shape, he wasn't feeling well emotionally
- talks about taking vitamins and keeping his liver healthy, like how his gradfather taught him
- doesn't got the gym that often anymore, too tired
- sleeps 4-5 hours a day
- doesn't know when his new album will be released but they're trying to get it out asap
- one of his goals is for Team Wang to become an entertainment agency like JYPE

Jackson also said at the end of the interview that he "wants to retire by the age of 35", but later clarified (in Chinese) on his instagram that he's not really retiring but meant he's "turning a new page" in life

I mean, it seems to do well, but it is a total conundrum how it does.

He definitely takes it seriously, but not enough to either get more help developing his taste/ability or to hire someone better to perform it.

I had thoughts about this article, but it's been a few days. I struggle with Jackson, he seems so likeable and charming and like he's a genuinely good guy. But he's also a fuckwit, and way overambitious and his musical taste is suspect.

His stance that his body is so trained to only sleep 4-5 hours at this point so it wakes up automatically does not mean he does not need more sleep than that. He's tired and rundown constantly, maybe the answer isn't deciding to let cup o' noodles back into his life, but resting and sleeping more. There are a few souls who only need 5 hours, but those people actually tend to biologically sleep differently, which is not something that can be controlled.

Also, if Team Wang (stupid stupid name I hate) is going to be Chinese JYPE, my Got7 heart cries. Also, those are going to be some damn overworked Chinese idols, because as much as Jackson may be a good guy, his work ethic is not healthy.

As a fan, I feel like I've watched him go through all the phases of life that I went through. I think he is chilling out a bit more but still with the stupid belief that he knows exactly what he's doing (totally been there). I think he will continue to mature and be okay with asking for help. He is already on his way to a more balanced view of himself. you do you friend, except please hire someone to write your lyrics or sing/rap in chinese so I can just not know how cringy they are.

He's clearly outgrown the K-pop system and his Chinese fandom clout is real, and not all underserved, he is great as the host in Go Fridge.

I don't know what he would be like as a boss, I like to think he wouldn't push others as hard as he pushes himself. If he gave his artists freedom and did not expect them to follow his mould, then I wouldn't rule it out just because he personally writes bad lyrics and can't rap.

if someone could take the music and redo the lyrics and someone else sang/rapped it, I wonder if they would sound good.

I would think being too tired to gym is a sign that you need more rest? It’s great that he’s hustling, but it’s worryingly that work is consuming so much of his time, especially when it feels like he doesn’t have as much time to spend with his family also.
