KJW is so adorable! So from episode 6, Lee Sol (the painter) is his mom. And I am sooooo curious as to Cha Shi An's relationship with Lee Sol. Why does he like her paintings and it seems that he knows a lot about her too. Is he and Ryan brothers?

DukMi upon seeing him for the first time, said they look alike (which... sure...). So I'm thinking they're leaning towards something like that. Plus SiAn is already out here calling him hyung

I have thoughts, but I haven't watched episode 6 yet. OP, thanks for starting these posts because I was on a romcom hiatus, but I am charmed by this show. There are things that bore me, I'm not really here for the fangirling sequences, I view them as filler and boring. And I am ready for PMY to change her hair color, enough of this kdrama reddish tone crap.

KJW is doing really well. His character is such a d-ck, I really want to dislike him, I am over the tsundere genius trope, but he's quiet enough at times, or something, that it almost works. It started with his airport cursing, and then his attempts to be supportive of different relationships, etc. It's interesting to me that 5 episodes in he still defaults to jerk a lot of the time, but then he's pretty open about things like not holding hands because his widdle heart breaks when someone lets go.

I also appreciate that she isn't really hiding from herself that she is kind of falling for him. It seemed to me that he was open with himself about falling for her too, but I am not sure if I am reading that correctly. Or if he's contradictory.

But, really, this show works for me because of the cast. Her bff is awesome, and I rather love her husband, Mr. PD-nim. I want to see more of him. The guys' faces whenever the girls fangirl crack me up.

I was confused until like episode 4 about PMY & the Judo guys relationship; I thought they were twins. I guess they're just really old family friends? I appreciate that PMY lets her petty side fly with Mr. Judo, but it's really hard to see any romantic chemistry. They act like kids with each other, including Mr. Judo. I did like when he called out KJW for lying about judo skills, and then how the boys just moved on from their misunderstanding re: PMY's lovelife.

I am almost sad that the PMY's sexuality got cleared up so quickly, I was enjoying KJW misunderstanding so many things.

(clearly I can't remember any names, plus I'm tired from GoT & Endgame, but hopefully this comment isn't totally incoherent.)

Korea must really be out of ideas for dramas. There's been so many webtoon adaptations the past year or so.

On a scale of 1-10 how cringeworthy is her fangirl behavior?? Just curious. I've only seen clips here and there of this drama from instagram, but from the get-go, I was like, do we really want to encourage and reinforce (extreme) fan girl behavior via a drama....? Has anyone read the webtoon? Is it more extreme?

I mean, she fangirls and smiles stupidly and coos to pictures of him. But they also mock saesangs who stalk his private life, she's shown taking her airport pictures from a distance, and her fancafe is supposedly all stuff related to his public life. So they're trying to walk the line of saying being a fan is cool, but extreme acts are not cool, that the idols private life should be left alone, etc.

Most problematic, probably, is when some other fans lose their shit over a dating rumor and attack the rumored girlfriend, and the main character says she empathizes with their feelings and kind of oks the attack because of that.
