[BREAKING] PARK TOILET PLACED UNDER ARREST

On April 26, the Suwon District Court issued a warrant for Park Yoochun’s arrest and stated, “The necessity for [Park Yoochun’s] arrest and its significance are recognized as there are concerns of [Park Yoochun] destroying evidence or fleeing.”

Previously on April 23, the Narcotics Unit of the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency requested a pretrial detention warrant based on Park Yoochun’s drug test results, which returned positive as Philopon was detected in his leg hair. Court questioning to determine the validity of the warrant took place today.

Park Yoochun is under suspicion of purchasing 1.5 grams of Philopon with his former girlfriend Hwang Ha Na on three occasions between February and March of 2019 and injecting the drugs five times. He previously stated at a press conference that he has never used drugs.

In regards to allegations of him purchasing drugs for Hwang Ha Na, Park Yoochun stated that he had wired the money only at Hwang Ha Na’s request. He denied knowing at the time that it was a drug transaction.

Meanwhile, C-JeS Entertainment announced Park Yoochun’s retirement and their decision to part ways with him on April 24. Park Yoochun’s lawyer issued an official statement on April 25 to deny that he took Philopon.

Idk if it's true in Korea's case, but back in the day there was at least one j-rocker (in Psycho le Cemu) who got into trouble with meth, partly because it helped keep him thin. Despite all the other unattractive side effects.

I read that meth is more popular and readily available in Korea because it was somewhat widely used by the Japanese army in WWII (and so it's still a bit of a problem there too). I don't know how widely used other drugs like cocaine or ecstasy are in Korea, but the fact that the 2 main illegal drugs of choice seem to be weed and meth is crazy. Just completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

how long is he being jailed for though? if he ends up getting out he'll just think about being more discreet with his drug use or even going to rehab but he might still continue to assault women because well my defense in court worked last time, so no need to worry about punishment. this is what's making me worried. he seems like a terrible person so it's not like he's going to start feeling any guilt and naturally change. not to mention the victims' experiences haven't been validated and they are still being gaslighted as though nothing happened to them

Korea's drug laws are very strict, so I've seen estimates of 5-8 years...... so definitely more than if he'd been tried and convicted of sexual assault.

yeah that's true but because it's not a super long sentence it still means he will eventually get out of prison and won't be that old. i'm afraid that he'll think there are consequences for drug use but none for sexual assault so he can return to harming women again.

that's unfortunately how it is. Korean justice system (and tbh, most of the world's) requires straight up hard evidence to convict sex crimes and in a case of he said she said, the perpetrator usually gets off bc of 'lack of evidence' which is bullshit but yeah.

who knows. maybe by the time he's gets out Korean law will have changed and vitcim/witness testimony will be enough to charge sex crimes

this is definitely bittersweet. on the one hand he'll be off the streets for some time so he won't be able to hurt other women but then when he gets out what happens? does anyone know how long his sentence will be? because if he gets out i'm afraid there will be no lessons learned

thank you! *sigh* well just as i thought. he'll try to lay off the drugs when he gets out but then he will be certain that he won't be punished for sexual assault and might continue with it again. maybe the victim could try testifying against him again but i don't want her to have to relive the trauma. why do sexual assault trials have to be so victim-blaming? :(

Like i said, I totally don't care that it's for the wrong crime. Punishment comes in many forms and he deserves to be in jail for his fuckery. If this what sends him there, then go ahead.

ETA - lol so I ended up writing a meth article today (I write a lot of rehab stuff) and I just realized what I bet the reason is for all these guys having a similar appearance. Bc I've been thinking that JJY, Seungri, Toilet here and the FTISLAND guy have all had this weird droopy facial appearance. Apparently one of the signs of meth use is exactly that. In fact, it further reminded me that someone I knew had this same look and ended up being found out as a meth user.

Would NOT be surprised if those other three have used it as well.
