Honestly, this probably saved them the headache of figuring out if they should ever get back together. So JJ can just do their own thing without the pressure of deciding whether or not to leave Y in the dust since associating with him would bring them down.

i know... like i'm ready to see him thrown in jail for anything at this point, but everyone else not being touched for crimes way worse than doing drugs? :/ don't like that.

While i agree, its probably because the drug case was cut and dry to prove, while rape cases are more difficult, hence why he got off. They may have even known he did drugs, but now he cannot feign innocence.

Even if it wasn't proved that he actually committed a crime, he clearly still did a lot of crap, they could have let him go. Why keep trash around (cause it's a trash company, I know, lol). San E left his company cause of his feminist song and shit, not even a legit crime...

seriously. it's the same as how burning sun is being reported as just a drug or sex scandal in the media and not as a case of severe sexual abuse and rape of women

IA. They should’ve terminated his contract when the first sexual assault allegations came out. When JYJ first signed with C-Jes, it was rumoured that the company had mob ties so I’m not surprised that the company doesn’t have a moral backbone.

that part is actually hilarious, ngl. it's even MORE funny bc his fans have been sweating trying to implicate her in everything.

I hope she releases all the dirt she has on him. Didn't she make a post basically directed at him where she talked about animal abuse as one of several other terrible crimes he committed??

wasn't c-jes formed specifically to take j*j in when they left sm? and isn't the ceo super sketchy? like, related to the mafia sketchy? lolll your own company and corrupt ceo are abandoning you!

but yeah, korea's principles and standards are really coming out loud and clear here. drugs? the horror! but sexual assault and rape? who cares!

Cue the condescending, "Korean culture" counterargument to this sketchy company caring more about drugs than multiiple rape allegations. Propaganda in every country is why drugs are a huge fucking deal, not "culture." It's also extremely insulting to Korean survivors and women in general to assume they too care more about meth or w/e than rape and legislative and societal reform.

Yes, some comments here sound very condescending and for the lack of a better word... western-centric.

So they didn't terminate the contract for all the shits he has been doing like idk... RAPE, but they did for him doing drugs... Ok
Some aspects of this culture are really fucked up.

Don't do drugs guys... but sexual assault is fine /s

This fucking mentality. I'm glad he's finally being trashed but this needed to happen sooner.

Labels in general need to get their shit together. And not just korean labels, chris brown is still out there having a career somehow and it's just puzzling to me

At least he got what he deserved in the end, and his victims can have some sort of closure, even if he is not convicted on their accusations :/

...oh, so now it's okay to terminate this piece of shit, but it was okay to keep him on the roster after him doing deplorable shit. Right.

i really wish this was for the sexual assault allegations. even though they weren't proven 100% he was already bringing bad publicity to the group and the company at that point, as a result he had to disappear for a while so i'm sure there were some losses because of him. it would have been better to cut him off earlier. this also sets a bad precedent for people who didn't sexually assault anyone but just took drugs in their free time. if they're addicted what they really need is rehab and support not just a cancellation of a contract. this is also not closure for the victims. the court, public, and media won't be validating their experiences, acknowledging the trauma they've acquired and giving statements to show sympathy to them. with at the very least acknowledgment they could feel like their pain was valid and that the world isn't gaslighting them anymore. this just doesn't seem like good news to me

I’m glad he’s finally retired, I hope he doesn’t try to make a career in a different country’s entertainment industry. The second woman who accused him of sexual assault is suing him, I hope she wins her case.

I hope this is a Capone type deal where he was doing lots of horrible shit but was caught by something as simple as tax evasion (or in this case drugs). As long as he goes down, who cares.
