They did soooooo well! I think the camera work for Kill This Love was pretty good also. The Flinch segment was great 😂😂😂. I love how comfortable they were and Jisoo was so funny there haha. They look like they had so much fun! Proud! I really enjoyed this 😁!
I know people hate corden but it always seems like his guests are super comfortable interacting with him which makes interviews and segments like these so much easier and enjoyable to watch. jisoo finally getting to show off her personality!!! and jennie being a scaredy cat was super cute too, poor thing is always getting startled by the pyrotechnics at shows lol
I think the people that hate him prefer the edgy hosts like kimmel or conan but for me too often they crossover into the douchey territory and i feel like they would be the ones to say something low-key racist with a kpop guest. Also i feel like kpop groups image in the US is very cleancut and sweet so they wouldn't do well with sarcasm or biting dry humor even though often times corden’s and fallon’s jokes aren’t good. I would actually love to see them on seth meyers but i don’t know if his show hosts live performances
I love Seth Meyers and his show! I'm about to watch his most recent A Closer Look right now actually, haha. He does have groups and artists perform on his show (looking at his YT page, Toro y Moi just stopped by which is pretty cool) but it's definitely not something he's as known for. That and because his show isn't as popular as Colbert/Fallon/Corden, I don't see a k-pop group stopping by any time soon. It's a shame because he gives great interviews and seems like a really nice guy!
yeah that's true seth meyers isn't as popular as the others. he's my favorite out of all the late night show hosts though. i'm curious now that blackpink are getting more comfortable appearing on US tv how they would handle a colbert interview. hope they can do one next time. kimmel is another popular one but i hope they just perform there and don't do an interview with him.
I still hate the song but omg, I'm loving the girls more and more. USA is doing wonders on them, they look better, happier and they just shine ♥ I'm so happy for them.
Yeah i actually like it on late night shows since they’re not filming the audience too much like on award shows. On korean shows they do closeups on faces too much or random zoom in shots somewhere weird like the camera is on a cable swinging around and you don't get to actually see their formations and dancing as much. Fallon is still better in terms of lighting to me
They’re definitely much more comfortable on shows and i like how they can do longer interview and talking segments on these late night shows since most of them are fluent in english. I hope jisoo doesn’t feel too left out. Kill this love is growing on me too. The camerawork was good but i feel like the stage at corden is too dimly lit all the time for some reason. I prefer fallon’s stage
Edit: also another advantage they have is that they only have 4 members. The US is not used to these 7-9 member dancing groups as shown by the stage sizes

lisa has worn pants before in US shows and jennie is wearing shorts. also it's pretty much the trend in k-pop girl groups right now. 2ne1 had more kooky out there fashion but with blackpink yg doesn't experiment that much with their fashion
yeah...i know the girls have worn pants and i know they've had outfits that looked like legit clothing....but as a general whole? the outfits are practically bottom-less. it still makes absolutely no sense imo. i specifically mentioned bp's stylists because this is a post about them and i've been paying more attention to them. the weird love affair with making sure the world knows they're wearing safety shorts isn't cute. they aren't the only ones and i know that, but it's still ridiculous. dressing these girls like an early 2000's seo in young little sister is not a good look when you can tell most of them are uncomfortable..

I’m talking about experimental in terms of k-pop. Maybe you don’t follow other girl groups but it’s a big deal whenever one of them gets to wear pants and they automatically get called girl crush or something stupid like that, and they are considered to be going against the grain. Back in the day it was much more common to see k-pop girl groups in pants and a variety of clothes in general but now it’s pretty much become the same for everyone in terms of style. K-pop in general has gotten more boring but it’s probably due to the oversaturation of idol groups
i follow other girl groups. i've been into kpop(guys&girls mind you) since the early 2000's and it really seems like you don't care what my replies are actually saying so i'm...done with this conversation.
This was super cute. Jisoo being absolutely stone cold during Flinch was the highlight. That and the girls loading the fruit into the machine and James' face being all no stop.
