umm i didn't get that tone at all from her message. i don't know the context either but she just seems to be defending her personal preference to not wear makeup and be all dressed up all the time. her life is different from us non-celebs so people judge her appearance even more harshly but she sounds confident in her own skin to me. i wish more female idols were like her

A soft, warm message and I like it. Being confident in yourself despite outside pressure is difficult, especially in a culture like Korea I imagine, so for her to be putting small posts like this out there is nice for all the young kids looking up to her.

i'm kinda the same, i used to wear a LOT of make-up, i don't wear it anymore~ it's like she said, it's not like we don't know how to do it, it's not like we dislike it, but it's comfortable and natural to not wear it and that's fine, too~ i used to really hate myself without make-up, which was my i challenged myself and i actually started to like my own skin, my own eyes without it
i still dress and look neatly, i'm not a mess, it's exactly like she said~ i'm happy for her she discovered this at such a young age

i get what you're saying, but like i commented below, she's under different circumstances than us, and we don't know her life. i don't think we can assume that this was "easy to say" for her because she's conventionally attractive. all of us are subject to pressure to conform, of course, but she additionally is subject to more criticism and scrutiny than we are. i think under those circumstances, it may not be easy for her to talk about or do these things.

that said, i have also had a lot of skin trouble in my life, and i know how incredibly hard that is. so definitely not trying to ignore your feelings <3

I completely get where she's coming from and I like that she said it .Being pretty or not, wearing makeup is seen as almost a requirement for women when it shouldn't be and it's great that she decides not to during her off time.

she definitely wears make up for music shows and some of her schedules because they're repping a make up brand rn but it's always a lot lighter and softer than the other members.
