as someone who has spent the past 8-9 years learning spanish on and off i'm confident that i will NEVER understand chileans lmao. cubans and argentinians are almost impossible for me to understand too. i'm mostly used to the mexican accent because my mom's side of the family is mexican, and the spanish accent because most of my spanish professors were from spain. but every time i have to speak spanish w someone it's a huge gamble of whether or not i will understand them at all lmao
