I feel like nobody can agree on anything for this comeback, and not just the usual (though MV, single and bsides seem a lot more divisive for me than previous releases by them), but how should we react to it ? I'm really sorry that the girls are used to distract from YGE's mess, and even sorrier that it's working. There weren't many mentions of YGE in the posts I've seen here or on other places - and I'm guilty of it, I only mentioned Black Pink in my comments/stayed rather positive. I'm still not sure how to feel about all this

To sum up, last year I was counting down the days before the end of my contract because I wanted OUT, because of a single crazy coworker. Then in January, new team, lots of things to do, crazy coworker gone, and I was thinking about staying longer, as long as I got promoted for all the work I've done despite being dragged into the mud. And I was fairly positive about it! Until two weeks ago. Lol. Turns out the hierarchy and HR service never intended for me to be promoted, against my director's wish, and offered to resign me with the same (current) conditions. So back to square one, I'm OUT. I have one month left, including eight days of holidays. Can't wait to be out of this mess. I'm not going to work any longer for less than I deserve, and they're going to be in deep shit, but screw them !
I have a good opportunity to sign for another job as soon as May, as long as I don't blow out the job interview, I hope it goes well.
There's one coworker I talk a lot with despite not working directly together (different services, same coffee breaks) and he looked so down yesterday when he learned the news, legit had tears in his eyes. I hope he'll be allright, I know he doesn't get along well with his boss :( breaks my heart to leave great people behind because the hierarchy are shitheads.

Mentally it's all challenging and I had so much anxiety the last few weeks but I've been seeing my friends more, it helps <3 Also going to the seaside next weekend with my family! can't wait!
Catching up with my friends made me realized I missed so much news in the year I isolated myself - one of my best friend has moved in with her boyfriend (I didn't know she had a boyfriend lol) while another is getting married soon-ish, a friend is thinking about engagement, MY EX IS HAVING A BABY (don't worry my first reaction was "omg thank god it's not with me") and the baby is expected close to my birthday (lol). What is going on XD

Last week's Friday one of my co-worker's from the new firm my firm fused with and work together with finally asked some people, me included, to go out for a few drinks after work. What an eye-opening experience lol. It seems like many of the workers have a problem with the way the "higher ups"/"bosses" do their work and manage their projects. Me, being fairly new to work-life, have been wondering if this is just normal or if I'm incompetent but I see I wasn't imagining the problems after all.

Yes, it's always eye-opening to talk with coworkers. We had something similar at my work, we felt really powerless and incompetent because we have so many vacancies in my tearm and struggle to hire. But talking with other teams, they have the same issues... so it's not just us. It's also HR not doing their job well. It doesn't change the problem itself but at least we can now put our issues in perspective and better react to new problems. I hope sharing this moment with your coworkers will help you too !

Hello everyone ,
I’ve been suffering from exhaustion since the end of February and now I’m scheduled to have surgery April 19th. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired but I’m also terrified of having surgery because of trauma from the back surgery I had at 13. Combination of vitamin D deficiency and enlarged thyroid. I’m tired every day but when I have enough energy to leave the house I go to work.

So no one posted it but I did want to talk this Sunmi/BTS drama as it were. As a wonderful forever - first, foremost, primarily - I don't think she is discrediting WG's accomplishments or anyone else's but that she means BTS paved the way in being this successful while singing/rapping in Korean & refusing to change it. Everyone before them really going for a US career did so trying with English songs and they won't so charting like they do is a different sort of success?

I see where she's coming from because people who didn't listen to kpop until it was available to the western audience on a regular have no idea who Wonder Girls are.

WG/BoA/Rain/SNSD(ish) had major impacts for the kpop community because they showed there was potential. Without their influence I don't necessarily think BTS would be in the west because companies wouldn't bother even attempting.

I get where she's coming from though. From her perspective they lived and breathed in other parts of the world for the same amount of time they worked in Korea doing one song repeatedly for ages. It must've seemed like a wasted time to them even when it wasn't.

I watched the first two episodes of Kingdom and I thought it was really good, but I was so scared/creeped out I haven’t watched episode 3 haha.
I also watched Part-Time Idol on Netflix a couple weekends ago and it was short, but cute/enjoyable. There’s a bit of a romance thread, but it’s really small. It was an interesting insight on idol creation.

Work is hell and I don't know when it is going to change, so at least I'm gonna try to enjoy my two days of freedom!
Yesterday I got my BTS concert DVD and as if it wasn't expensive enough, I had to pay extra customs fees... I'm not ordering from the Bighit shop ever again. I'm not mad though because the packaging is absolutely gorgeous.
These days I've been watching videos from the Day6's Vlive channel and I'm so angry at myself for not discovering them sooner lol these guys are soo good!

I feel like the past few months have been a period of transition for me. I am really coming into my own as an adult. Realizing that yes! i'm 27! actual adult over here!!! And that's come with both the good and bad.

Good bits being I've been making my own money and got a career started. Gotten my finances in order (kinda I think?). Dealing with my mental health and disordered eating in particular. Getting stronger and more confident as a person. Aaaaaand bad bits being that I still sometimes am really disgusted with myself and convinced I'll spend the rest of my life alone without love. And generally feeling worthless. Which isn't fun but I'm coping best as I can. The spring weather really helps with my moods tbh.

We got our information about the restructure at work down on Wednesday when I was off. We've had essentially 3 days to gather all the paperwork and organise the restructure and match people to new roles within it because they need to be signed off by three different people by Monday and we have to start informing people about whether they've been matched or not on Tuesday and start the consultation process with those who haven't. I've done 11 hour shifts and I still have two new sets of rotas to sort and so so so many forms. Three days to completely redesign my department(s). It's a clusterfuck. It's going to get so much worse. I hate it.
