whispers he talked about preparing a japanese album at his concert ~ although, nothing official yet ofc and considering his upcoming musical, i wouldn't expect anything until end of this year or beginning of next year
He said he wanted to sing more Japanese songs for the fans and would work on getting a Japanese album out. Since he doesn't have one yet he has and will sing covers. One day, he would like to sing a Japanese Xia song.

Do you think it’ll be possible/feasible for him to do small tours across SEA and beyond his usual Jp/Kor promos? God knows I would pay if he comes to SEA. And given the obvious divide since all these time, he doesn’t even have to overshoot and just book an intimate venue tbh.
Hyolyn is coming to my country soon and I was so surprised bc nobody really wants to hit KL tbh
Edit: considering the comments praising his pronounciation with the covers he uploaded, God we all need Jp!Xia. He’s def working behind the scenes perfecting things, bc I know last I heard he completely forgot his Japanese 😂😂😂 I haven’t looped back into Jae’s new JP stuff but the short MV I saw didn’t grab my attention the way his Kor stuff usually does.
i'm honestly not sure about SEA rn because i know right now he has more japanese concerts lined up till april 19th, then xcalibur has its run from june to august (idk if there'll be within skr tours for that either? like elisabeth had, where they performed in different regions like gwangju, busan, etc.) - i feel that he'll be working on an album post that (but if it's jpn, he wouldn't rush it - not that he'd rush it for a korean one either, so again, not until early next year i feel) and also prepping for another ballad & musical concert (seeing as he's doing a new musical this year)
aside from like, giving back to fans with all this content, i do think he's like slightly testing waters with these covers + also trying to improve his japanese (he said his is like a preschooler's rn lmao) and given that he's openly at least mentioned the possibility of an album, i do hope it's a japanese album that he prepares for, esp if he can get the same management as jaejoong in japan

The thing abt them promoting in Kr is that the chance to meet fans is limited to them doing concert, and looking at how thriving Jae is doing shows in Jp, they really do miss that, so I can understand why they’d reroute their promotions there. Thank god for Jp. Can’t wait for him to kill me with new songs. Uchiage Hanabi was just... even Sakuranbo.. I’ve been looping the two songs all day since they dropped 😭😭😭

Otsukai Ai is what really got me into pop music. She was such a weirdo, and I somehow fell in love with her despite only being into metal and j-rock. TBH, she is probably why when I saw Yunho on X-men that I was willing to even get into K-pop and DBSK to begin with. I also met one of my best friends because of her.
