I like this a lot more than La Vie En Rose actually. I found La Vie En Rose kind of childish.
My complaints are: The intro is such a non-event that I didn't realise the song had started until Wonyoung started singing, the fast cuts meant that there wasn't really any time to focus on anyone so no one seemed to stand out, and I still find Hyewon and Minju to be pretty meh as members (yes whatever the public voted for them i know whatever)
That said I really love the choreography, I love that it fits in with La Vie En Rose thematically and musically, everyone looks great except for in those outfits with the horrible doily bracelets that kpop is insisting on trying to make happen, and I do think it's one of their best songs yet.
I was about to comment that I found the instrumental for this one quite childish XD (different stroke) I kinda like that they're sticking to a floral/color concept in both the MVs and the song title
It’s pretty good, I like this way more than their debut. The replay value is still up in the air, but this might make me actually learn who the members are (I think I know 3 right now, I haven’t had any motivation to learn the rest till now. But IOI had a rough debut and I still managed to learn each member)
The bridge and final verse lack the explosiveness that I loved in La Vie En Rose, but I like how this has the same elegant vibe as LVER and lovelyz's Destiny but more catchy and less dramatic (I like dramatic but dramatic concepts are less general public friendly). I think it's a good balance in terms of concept considering some members are underage and some are way past pretending they're middle schoolers. It's neither too cringe-cutesy nor too sexy or try hard.
I didn't like Hyewon's voice in produce48 so I was a bit worried when she was announced in the line up but so far they managed to not make her voice (and the other sub vocalists) too grating or too jarring in comparison to the other members' voices.
yes, i've been saying this since LVeR. their concept is a really good balance of feminine, but with harder, or at least complex, choreo. it's really nice to see. and it's age appropriate for everyone.
It’s like they tried to energize La Vie En Rose with more pep. I was a fan of the overall everything that La Vie En Rose gave so I’m not hating this. It’s not the same, but I definitely think the structure is the same. Also Hyewon coming in with the lower register which she probably will never produce live was sickening. That whole rap part was great. I don’t love it, but I respect it for now. I’m hoping they keep up with the color themed naming from now on. Also I had hoped they would at least try and rotate girls for each release, and it seems that happened here. There seems to be more Yena, Yujin and Wooyoung (admittedly I really only care for Yena in this crop). J line still looking for scraps (although I think Sakura seemed to do more than LA Vie En Rose).
(although I think Sakura seemed to do more than LA Vie En Rose). lol i thought she do less here. bc i only caught one of her line and it's only saying la violeta i think.
I had to watch the live performance to see who was doing what because the video absolutely doesn’t help with these mess cut scenes and some of the girls singing is very...plain. I watched the fancam of the live performance and she does do more. Not like to the level as the A-Team (Vocal line) or B-Team (Chaeyeon, Yujin, Wooyoung, etc.), but she was leading the pack for the Japan Girls.
the good: - so pretty 😍 - chaewon is shining - minju coming at me with her rap and visuals - the dance + outfits are very appropriate for spring
the bad: - this is nowhere near as impactful as LVER - let's face it, sakura is the true center. Even with wonyoung's height and purple hair my eyes still go to sakura. - JP line needs more lines. Nako practically disappeared. - while yujin is adorbs I don't think her solo dance screen time was worth it. Chaeyeon or Eunbi would've killed it.
Sakura is pretty much hard carrying their impressive physical sales with her international fanbase, but yeah she and especially the other two J-line members keep getting paid dust
this isnt as iconic as La Vie en Rose, but it's still a solid follow up. it just doesn't really stand out as much to me, sonically or visually. i appreciate their consistency in sound and concept tho, i think it suits them well.
the structure is so simliar to LVER and yet now i've finished the MV i don't remember any of it sakura looks amazing but i feel like she didn't sing very much? hitomi and nako basically didn't exist lol i think i saw them once each in non-group shots.
really forgettable song, I've listened three times, I can't remember a single bit about it
I don't think it's better than LVER at all, that was catchier and had better choreo too.
also I'm getting tired of groups focusing on visuals who aren't charismatic or strong performers, Minju and Hyewon are both really bland to me, and they're all over this (meanwhile Nako had what, one second of screentime?), I had the same gripe with Momoland's MV and how much it focused on weakest link Yeonwoo.
ooh minju looks pretty with bangs! also loving the color palette of this mv. sakura looks gorgeous
i like the song more than i liked la vie en rose on first listen, and i know it'll grow on me too. really enjoying the kind of vibe they're going for with their discography so far
la vie en rose grew on me so this one might too but right now i'm not really feeling it. the dance looks pretty though and i think i prefer this mv to their first. i also enjoy how consistent and age-appropriate their concepts are.
once again i don't understand the complaints about hyewon getting too much focus when most members, including sakura, had more screentime than her and her one part was the best part of the song. this was essentially just yuri, eunbi, yujin and friends which is why i don't think i'll ever be able to properly get into this group.. at least hyewon is likable!!
I love the song! I need to see more of the choreography from the scenes of them dancing in the water too. I still prefer their japanese mvs aesthetics though. Im getting tired of the frills and bright white filters in a lot of kpop mvs
So I just wanna talk about this line distribution....
Other than that I enjoy the song and the MV perfect for spring and they all look beautiful. I really like that Yena is singing because her singing voice is way better than her rapping and Minju did a great job. They’ve done a really good balance of keeping things age appropriate for the actual babies in this group but not so juvenile for the older members.
Also idk what y’all are smoking LVER was an amazing song but this is what I get from Signal HATERZ
Violeta as a song is okay, but I prefer other songs on the album~ the live performance of it is really fun to watch though!
Some of the dresses in the mv though (most especially the purplish-white one that wonyoung is wearing in the garden) remind me of those 1st communion dresses for some reason
ALSO! I was wondering but would anyone be interested in a rec post of their favorite songs from produce groups or soloists like sewoon, mxm, kang sira, etc?
i dont think i'm gonna care about this song. feels flat. and the mv changes scenes too fast. i can't focus on anything. And it needs to show more of their choreo bc i'm sure it's good. agree w/everyone that j-line dont get anything. i dont even know what sakura's line is/are except for that one la violeta she did as the center.
Ya’ll are complaining about J-line getting dirt, but also conveniently not mentioning that despite having improved that they STILL deliver weak and nasally vocals. The parts they get in the rest of the album demonstrate this (Sakura and Nako in Highlight for example). In my opinion, the more pervasive their lines, the lower the overall quality of the song becomes (like Momo does to Twice songs). Nako, Hitomi, and Sakura need to step it up vocally. the group has one strong vocalist (Yuri) and FIVE capable to decent vocalists (Eunbi, Chaewon, Yujin, Chaeyeon, and Yena). If you are capable, you will be utilized, period. This leaves Hyewon who got less lines than all of the J-line, since she literally cannot deliver anything vocally aside from some muttered lines. Minju, who was the only one who arguably got “undeserved” highlight in this comeback, but she was more dynamic than she’s ever been and pulled off her part, neither Nako nor Hitomi could have pulled that part off. If Sakura was given Minju’s part that would cause too noticeable of an imbalance in line distribution. Then there is Wonyoung, who got no more lines than Sakura did. As a center she was utilized humbly in terms of vocals (which is fair considering her vocals are on par with or slightly above the J-line). That leaves Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi. Quite frankly, Nako is proving to be lacking in her presence and delivery, she has one facial expression and her vocals are monotonous. It’s not that she doesn’t have parts, she’s just not doing enough on her own to stand out. Hitomi on the otherhand, is standing out dramatically for the part she’s given. Lastly, if anyone’s actually complaining about Sakura’s screen time/line distribution, you are delusional. Sakura has lines in all three segments of the song and has consistent/heavy screen time.
This “not enough J-line” shit is ya’ll being delusional, these so called “forgettable” Korean members are literally carrying the entire song. If you subtract Yuri, Eunbi, and Yujin (Yujin over Chaewon, Yujin is tonally more distinguishable) from the song, the listenability of the song drops 50 percent.

Blonde Sakura is a LEWK!
It suits her so much, the tone and color is perfect.
But yeah, they look amazing and the MV is pretty.
The song isn't as catchy as I would've hoped.
At least not yet.
