winners doesn't do YSL at all. I would return it. I think the high end brand they sometimes carry is tom ford and only in scents. A lot of people change out stickers and they just put it on the shelves anyway.
i think they do sell ysl, since they often have the mascaras and eyeshadow quints at the bloor/bay winners. i've bought 2 other ysl lipsticks from there and if they are fake, it's not possible for me to tell, but this one doesn't feel right :/
I've never seen anything that high end before but if they've had others maybe shoot them an email/tweet asking if they do legit carry it. it might just be that the one that's off is really expired?
i just ordered some trendy cushions, the clio kill cover glow cushion and the missha cover glow cushion. fingers crossed that the shades are good!
and to respond to my own question, my favourite lipstick formulae are ysl's vinyl cream lip stain, ysl's tatouage couture matte lip stain, and mac versicolour varnish cream lip stain.
I only have a few lipsticks but lately any time I wear them my lips get dry and chapped, even if it's not matte and I wear lipbalm underneath. I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask every week or so and my lips would look better afterward, but then if I wear lipstick for the day it would get chapped again. Maybe I'm just dehydrated or something...
do you use a scrub as well? it helped me a lot with my lips I also drink a tone fo water (at least 2L a day - and that's not counting other liquid like juice, herbal tea and such)
this happens to me and at this point i just accept that i'll need to wear a tinted balm the next day after i wear any lipstick. i use the laneige lip sleeping mask every night.
i think my friend use laneige lip sleeping mask as a peel/scrub in the morning after put it on the night before. i dont remember exactly how, but she swore by it and she said you can't just use it as a mask.
Oh yeah, I use it like that too. When I bought it I was advised by the staff at the counter to wipe it off in the morning while rubbing off the dead skin on my lips, so it works like a peel/scrub that way.
that's so many lip products omg. I'm trying to continue on the path to minimalist make up and skin care this year so trying to use up all the stuff I own and re-invest in fewer but better products.
that being said though I am trying out a tinted moisturizer now that I ran out of foundation and omg I'm never going back.
Same, tinted moisturizer are it for me Although it's becoming difficult to find one that doesn't have toxic ingredient in it, so I usually end up going bare face XD

(I don't even remember where I bought it from) bc it goes well with a more plain makeup look. My favorite red lipsticks are from Shiseido and a NYX matte velvet I picked out of a sales basket for super cheap but then it turned out to be pretty great lol (plus some super matte bold red lipsticks that don't even have the name on the stick anywhere, did it rub off lol?). I found a pretty great brown/coppery shade from Yves Rocher that I used to use aaaall the time at one point, and some dark dark brown-ssh ones from Mac(?). I guess I like NYX and Mac bc they do great bold shades, like green and blue (tho the best blue liquid I got is from some never-heard-before brand), which I really like as lip colors. I was obsessed with purple as well when I was younger but I find I'm not as into it anymore (maybe I haven't found good shades). I've had a hard time finding a good grey lipstick, the best one so far has been a liquid from Maybelline, but even that one is kinda streaky :/
i feel you on this - i'm so addicted to lipstick lol. i should start using them as eyeliners more, i don't really wear liquid lipstick a lot anymore cause it feels too dry to me.

They’re like MAC’s cooler younger sister 😬 MAC has screwed up a few times in the past and they’re under Estée Lauder, who I’m just generally trying to distance myself from (though I’m sure I’ve bought from an EL brand unknowingly, they own so much) So that’s just my reasons why I lost interest

i have like 8 of the super shock shadows and like 5 single eyeshadows, but besides that i find it hard to get into their products because there are just SO MANY and they come out with a gazillion new shades all the time! it's just overwhelming and i don't want to browse their website because of it. i want their pink and red liquid liners though.
I got off accutane two months ago and it made my lips dry af. First Aid Beauty's lip balm is now my holy grail,it's the only thing that's helped my lips stop peeling. I also bought like 8 colourpop ultra blotted lips because the formula is no nice and non drying
i recently threw out like 20 lipsticks and i still have over 50-60 😩 i hate my impulsive younger self lmao like why did i need 5 different colours of the same product. though i do have like 6? diff shades of the colourpop lux lipstick. it’s def the best lipstick formula i’ve used because i hate liquid/matte lips
but i’ve cut down a lot on makeup buying which i’m proud of. helps that there’s nothing interesting being released recently.
i like nyx's soft matte lip cream. i have a teal one that's pretty but i'm afraid to wear it, lol. as far as non-liquid goes, i love colourpop's crème lux lipstick. i only have it in two shades, but they stay on my lips all day long and never dry out.
I have like 700 lipsticks yikes someone stop me lol. My favourite (high-end-ish?) brand has to be Colourpop. The formula's great and it doesn't dry out my lips that bad. Maybelline's Powder Mattes are also my favourite. They're smooth without drying out my lips (unlike their Superstay Matte Ink liquid lips yikes). Orange and light pink shades don't really work well with my skintone and undertone so I stick to the bold reds and darker shades. I tried Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks and as problematic as he is, he does make good make-up so I'll give him that ig. Only ever bought one tho because the price just wasn't it for me lmao. My friend recommended L'Oreal's Color Riche Mattes but I haven't tried them yet. Are they good?

yeah, i think the one i use the most is my peripera velvet ink. i have a coral one. i think it's just no brainer, slap it once and it stays the whole day and feels like you're wearing nothing. although, what i hate is that i have that coral one and a deep warm tone red, and both turn heavily pink after it stains your lips. i think it's their dominant base color and i wish it wasn't.
