Also, what an odd sensation as a MINE & Cheshire. Looking at how fast BP, (G)I-dle, Itzy & now TXT got their first wins in comparison to CLC's (and 9M never getting one) I guess the 4th generation is categorized by fast wins? I know there's a lot of factors in play like the globalization of Kpop - and certainly I'm not resentful at the new groups - but it really is interesting.

Side note but I get surprised whenever Beomgyu opens his mouth. I just don't expect that deep voice to come out, considering he looks 12! Anyway, him and Taehyun are shaping up to become my fav but that's mostly because they're the ones getting the least attention from fandom and that just triggers my protective instincts <3

I like Taehyun but I kinda feel he was the "last member to make it in." I porbably rank him 2nd in vocals behind Kai (some may rank him first), but for me he is 5th in visuals, clear-cut 5th in dance and is one of the two out of 5 who don't rap.

Kai I think is every bit as strong a vocalist, also doesn't rap, but is a better visual and dancer (and I think more charisma too).

Beomgyu as I stated in another comment in this post is all-around "jack of all trades." Not the worst, not the best singer in the group. Not the worst, not the best dancer in the group. Not the rapper that Soobin and Yeonjun are butahead of Kai and Taehyun. Plus is a flower boy visual, has a sparkle about him etc. Very much the V of TXT.

Soobin may be one of the weaker vocalists but is a main rapper and I think is good-looking and one of their better dancers, while being a caring leader.

Yeonjun maybe has the most charisma on stage of all of them. There's something Kang Daniel-esque about him to me. Probably the best rapper and dancer and stage presence in the group. Good visuals and I think underrated vocals.

Personally I think what happened is that Yeonjun, Soobin, Kai and Beomgyu were obvious choices to debut but that group of 4 would've needed one more main vocal imo and that's where Taehyun being the right age and having the voice was added in.

I agree about Taehyun's dancing. He's not a bad dancer (they're all good), but his movements have an erratic quality to them.

I'm not going to judge them on vocals yet, because I don't think we've gotten a representative sample of their singing voices yet.

The main thing I think is that by keeping it to 5 members, they've managed to eliminate the "Jin" both in dancing and vocally.

Beomgyu is very much TXT's version of V.

Both are all-around contributing members but not really the best at anything in their groups: Beomgyu's vocals aren't the worst in the group but behind Kai and Taehyun for sure, just like V is solid vocally but not the best. Yeonjun and I think Soobin are prob better dancers than Beomgyu but he definitely is ahead of Taehyun, so kinda group average there. Similarly, V is def behind J-Hope, Jimin and Jungkook but better than the rest.Rap-wise, Beomgyu isn't quite as good as Yeonjun or Soobin but Kai and Taehyun don't rap at all. V and Beomgyu that way are both kinda of "jack of all trades" but "master of none."

V and Beomgyu also:
-are probably the most clear cut "flower boy visuals" of their groups
-are highly sociable. I know Beomgyu has lots of other idol friends in different groups and other TXT members have said how easily he makes friends and that reminds me SO MUCH of V, who is adorable.
-Both adorable, yet strikingly deep voices when they open their mouths.

Honestly their is no TXT-BTS pairing that is as similar as Beomgyu-V. So I think lots of V fans will gravitate to Beomgyu as their bias!

I expected nothing less of Omona. I came in to see what the reactions would because I remember the ITZY first win post with all the "it doesn't mean anything cause they didn't struggle enough".

Why the double standard Omona?
