Honestly not sure how I feel about groups suddenly getting major wins when they’re like 2 days old. Nothing to do with the groups themselves (they’re not at fault in any way) but it makes music shows kind of predictable.

Also sort of relevant, but I just watched LOONA, fancam for Butterfly - my jaw dropped at their choreography especially the floor dropping move. I enjoy gg choreography regularly anyways but 2019 is raising expectations - Itzy, Dreamcatcher, LOONA, Gfriend, and other great gg’s choreography show gg can really bring it on stage when they are offered the opportunity

I can’t really decide how I feel about this group tbh. I can’t get over how young they are lol. And I know that idols their age are nothing new but there’s a difference between groups having a handful of kids born in the 00s vs an entire group being born in the 00s. I feel old.

Very well deserved. They’re 5 talented bbs who worked their ass off to get here and break records, and that’s great, bc JYPE needs a force like that in a way that Twice and Itzy can alternate in comebacks and remain relevant. People saying that Big 3 companies don’t even have to try, say that to GOT7, SK, NCT, Day6 and so on. Success is just a matter of opportunity, timing, luck and a well done product with trendy appeal. The girls SOLD their concept and the public loved it. Same thing happened with TWICE’s LOA, the girls did their best and the song skyrocketed, only difference is that Itzy did it faster bc they already knew the formula, so Idgaf about people taking their merit of it lol I think they won’t win this whole week, and it’s ok, but they deserve their accolades for doing great on debut.

I've always wondered why the rules weren't more strict when it comes to music shows. First time groups coming from big companies with ridiculous advantages, Groups/Soloists not being there to receive their wins still eligible for nominations, songs that are far past the promotion point still winning.

It just seems set up to work against certain groups and companies, and work better for others.
