She’s the vocal and we never saw any clips of her dancing on showcases. I think she’s actually the trainee with the least time of training, so I’m fine considering her the Jisoo of the group (from early bp debut) lol It also doesn’t help that they are all performance idols and 3/5 came from dancing teams.
idk I really like this song, it's catchy and fun but I don't like the lyrics - the whole "I'm not like other girls/ppl" thing doesn't sit well with me. their performance was good though, yeji is something else, her and yuna really caught my eye.
The meaning of the name. Itzy, with 'Trend' 'Zone' and 'Young' was soo tacky JYP that they could have done without it.
The explicit selling of youth isn't even questioned, what must it be like for Yubin and Hyelim to watch these girls set out on this path? I guess it is to do as much as you can before you are discarded for the next young group.
At least with JYP there's a guarantee of some level of success perhaps?
Yuna had the best energy level that the group needs. If Somi was in the group, her fame would have outshone the group, at the start initially anyways. I think for the group, it's probably my better to debut without Somi.
TBH they aren't that different from other girl groups, it's a slightly different flavour coming from the same mould.
As a debut song, and comparing it to all the other JYP GG debut songs, I'd put it last.
Bad Girl Good Girl, Irony, and Like Ooh Ahh we all instant likes for me. (I'm not into Lachata thought) I've just gone back to watch Wonder girls debut and was almost shocked that you can clearly hear them sing live, no backing voice track!!

i think i've brainwashed myself into liking this cause it was initially a no, but now after a couple listens and watching the choreo I'm on board. still hate the chanting chin up part. i cannot get on board with that.
Seeing this live makes it a little better. I still agree with whoever said that the song seems like it is trying to make too many statements at once (I haven't seen the lyrics but beat/dance wise for me). At least the girls look like they have some stage presence.
Overall, it seems like a Sixteen tv show performance.
I'll watch the interview later but I have to say this has been my guilty pleasure song these days. Yes it's not the best debut song but damn if it's not funny, especially if you see it live. Don't know the names of the girls yet but the red head is really cute, extra cute when she smiles. And the "MY LIFE! 🎶" girl is 🔥🔥 Still think they are super young and I still don't like their voices much... But come on people we all knew they would be a hit even before debut. They are from jyp, apparently they have been hyped in other shows... Like yeah what a surprise. Just the same surprise as bp or twice doing well since the beginning...
camera work is bad, I couldn't even focus on their performance properly. Yuna and Yeji seem like the better performers in here. I was expecting Lia to be weaker based on the MV, but it seems she's doing ok, just that when faced against 4 strong(er) dancers, she seems to stick out
