There was a clip of her with staff on one of their Insta stories and even though she was quite a bit taller than them she was like...half their size. She's got great proportions but she really looks like a Barbie doll at this point with how thin she is.

yeah it didn't used to be like this. like i look at 2009 and girl groups weren't this skinny. i think there's also an obsession with girl groups being under a certain weight right now in kpop no matter your height, which i don't remember being an obsession before.

I feel like social media might be partially to blame. How many non-official candid pics did we get? When a company is able to photoshop everything before it’s released you don’t have to look as thin all the time.

But idk, I remember comments about late 2009-2010+ Soshi being more “charming” because they lost their “baby fat”.

yeah i'm not denying they were skinny in 2009 but they still seemed thicker to me then compared to now. also i don't remember people mentioning being under 50kg as the most important thing ever

maybe you're right about the whole candid thing but i feel like fans still photoshop those photos a lot anyway. it just seems like a body type trend in kpop now but i don't know how it started
