Blackpink to perform at Universal Music's Grammy Artist Showcase

Universal Music Group (UMG) CEO Lucian Grainge will host K-pop girl group Blackpink's debut U.S. performance Saturday night during his Grammy Weekend label showcase of the label's established and breaking talent.

Retro rockers Greta Van Fleet and Atlanta rapper Lil Baby are also scheduled to appear, among others. Lucian Grainge's 2019 Artist Showcase will be held at ROW in Downtown Los Angeles and admission is by-invite only.

For Blackpink, the show is a warm up to a busy week ahead, including appearances on Good Morning America and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The wildly popular band will also perform at Coachella in April.

Good luck girls. Lucky they are getting so many opportunities all at once.

To succeed I really think they need to get on the radio airwaves. Need some english songs for that. I heard Wonder Girls Nobody once on the radio but never heard it played again.

YG must be pretty pissed off about BTS and Red Velvet's us tour because since they announced those, it's been suddenly frantic. Ah well, good for those girls, I hope it will all go well ♥

Its kinda odd but cool that there will be so many korean artists at the grammy events this year. I still know that next year they will probably not invite anyone asian next year because thats what they love to do. Plus them constantly snubbing artists of color is annoying as hell. Im happy for these kpop artists but at the sane time i wish there were another big awards show besides the grammys

Grammys basically have to invite popular korean acts if only for the fact that no big name (except Cardi B) is attending this year

this isn't an official grammy's event though, it's a private event put on by umg. it just takes place during grammy's weekend.
