JYP's style director reveals working with 2PM behind the scenes
The winner of Project Runway KOREA Lee Wookyung has turned into JYP's style director. Lee Wookyung revealed what it was like working in JYP as 2PM's style director on OnMedia's 'Style Magazine 2010.'
With innovative ideas and designs, Lee Wookyung worked on various collaborations and received many love calls after winning the first season of Project Runway Korea.
On Style Magazine 2010, Lee Wookyung recently revealed the process it took in completing 2PM's 'zombie style' outfits. She stated "I tried my best to match the outfits to the individual styles of the 6 members."
In reality, Chansung and Taecyeon are tall and have a great figure so outfits that fit them well match them best. Junsu and Junho look very short compared to the others and so a style that makes them look skinny and long works better. Nichkhun and Wooyoung are the skinniest members and so they look very weak and small up on stage, which is something that must be paid attention to.
Particularly on Nichkhun, she revealed "Khun has the perfect physical attributes closest to a model. I add a jacket or a vest as detail to help him look a bit more impressive compared to the rest of the members. Khun's outfit is an outfit only he can handle. Whenever I prepare his outfit, I'm always thinking about it from start to finish."
As an extra note, Lee Wookyung also revealed a special fate-like relationship she has with Park Jinyoung. During her college years, Lee randomly walked the streets of Manhattan, New York and discovered Park Jinyoung. She raced over to him and blurted "I want to be Bi's stylist."
Afterwards, Lee Wookyung became JYP's style director and met Park Jinyoung once more. Park Jinyoung remembered the moment and stated "It really is fate," unable to hide his surprise and amazement.
