Lol in this situation YG is definitely the person in a talent show crew that never shows up for rehearsal, doesn't contribute, then when he's given the only job you'd think he can't possibly mess up (providing a USB with music) texts everyone "sorry I can't come I'm sick" 5 minutes before they're set to go on stage.
Tbh I think JYP actually went about it right with having WG on Nickelodeon. To this day I still meet people my age who know of or used to listen to Nobody. Idk what would be the equivalent now though considering Nick and Disney seem to no longer go for younger teens and instead cater to kids and pre-teens. Maybe having BP perform a song or something in the background of an episode of Riverdale? (Bye I just thought up a whole concept where they’re a rival group for Josie & the Pussycats)
i have no idea who Josie & the Pussycats are unfortunately, but either way i agree. like.. who is gonna watch them on colbert? people in their 20s and older won't care and it's gonna be as embarrassing as it was last time (at least to me)

I can't believe YG's power here. He better have them have a new album after this tour in the US. Maybe he's waiting to see how they are received. He's dying to make it over there so it makes sense that he won't care about the content in itself. Why should he anyway, people are goint to eat that up probably.

i wish yg would just manage them right. i'm excited for them but i'm also embarrassed at the fact they've been a group for 3 years and rookie groups have bypassed them in discography size
they rly should be doing a lot of interviews asap if they want to push themselves out the kpop novelty. they're capable and it'll normalize them a lot more than just a niche interest group.
i don't know. seeing how pre-rehearsed jenny's answers were during some of her solo english interviews didn't seem to make an interesting interview. also i feel like colbert's interviews are a little more edgy. jimmy fallon would be good for them because he fits their PG image more
I don't like Jimmy, mostly because I feel like he'd be condescending and patronizing (I don't personally like the guy) so it's not the show I'd like to see them on
i saw the interview he did with BTS and he was super sweet to them. i feel like with blackpink he'll go easy on them and just heap praise on them. also the GMA hosts seem nice so they should be ok there too. they can just be cute and light hearted there. although i'd love to see more personality from the girls YG won't allow that
I’ve been following Colbert since his days on The Colbert Report so seeing him having a KPop artist on really feels like my two worlds colliding. Would have liked to see BTS on this too, but Blackpink is still pretty cool nonetheless.

yeah rain even did a skit with colbert which made him seem personable and showed of his comedic acting skills. i definitely found him charming on that. snsd just didn't fit the target demographic of letterman at the time. also i think it was either letterman or some other old guy on the show who said some inoppriapriate stuff about snsd. hopefully blackpink won't encounter any fetishizing creepy guys during promotions
