I think her dad had big influence in convincing her to go full solo, since she already has the image and the public recognition. Teddy’s agency probably offered a “good deal” and that was it for Somi in a group. JYPE for sure was hella angry to cancel her contract with a very well planed debut. Earlier this year we had photos of her hanging out with the exactly same girls that are certainly going to make it in the new gg, so it’s not too difficult to understand what happened.
