Jaejoong talks about sexual harassment by sasaengs

On January 6th, Jaejoong appeared in the Japanese TV show “行列のできる法律相談所”. He revealed troubles caused by his fans. That day, the co-star Masaki Sugano, talked about his real experience of being hugged by three “smooth skinned” middle-aged female fans. “If an ojisan (older man) hugs a young girl, it is absolutely sexual harassment…” He revealed that he had doubts about it.

About such hugging by fans, lawyer Harumo Kitamura stated that there is no problem as long as the entertainer accepts it, but if the person being touched feels “uncomfortable”, and the other part is conscious about it, then it can be considered sexual/violation assault. He said that, recently, excessive acts by fans toward the artists are considered problematic.

When Jaejoong was asked about similar experiences, he made the shocking confession “There were many fans who broke into my bedroom“. “In the middle of the night, while I was sleeping, on top of me…“. With the movements of the body, she/he looked down from the top to his sleeping face. While everybody in the studio was screaming, he finished “this happened many times“. I was stunned by this, too.

This is sickening. I read this with a list of shit sasaengs did with tvxq and as far as public knowledge goes, they really had the worst of it. I can only imagine how much this can mess up your mental health :(

This is sexual assault, maybe even rape. As a victim I’m sure he is uncomfortable discussing it so we will never know how far it went but it sounds like it would cause nightmares. I hope he has a good therapist to deal with the trauma.

Definitely, I have pets so I'm used to them walking across me or my bed but if something like that happened to me I'd be panicking thinking I was being molested in my sleep.

He's been talking about this since he was still under SM. I don't know, I guess because he never took legal action I thought it had stopped? Like with the relationship with big 3 companies and saesangs they'd have told him not to but the "freedom" to do so would be available under C-JeS. I wonder if he hasn't done anything simply because he doesn't see the point or if he's advised not to.

I don't know if this will change anything but I hope it does.

I remember some saesangs broke into dbsk dorm and took pics of jaejoong & junsu, stole underwear, etc
I heard they also kissed them while they were asleep so I already kind of knew about this
I hope jaejoong get psych treatment like changmin, he really deserves it after all the shit he went through

yeah, weren't even pics in circulation of members who were sleeping? so creepy. they also once told a story of a sasaeng waiting in their dorm for them. And Junsu once talked about how on airports, people would always grab his ass and stuff. So awful :/

i would have night terror forever if i woke up and someone i don't know was on top of me. And to have that repeatedly happen, fuck.
(OT: actually, i once had this exact nightmare and screamed so loud when i woke up, it woke up my friends who were sleeping in the same room. it took us some time to get back to sleep afterwards, i remember my heart was beating so hard and my body felt so heavy, it was scary.)

What sasaengs exhibit is criminal behaviour and I totally understand when idols, who are and have been their victims, retaliate because they're fed up. And especially considering their own companies don't support them against sasaengs, because it's "good business" (I still can't get over that fucking fiasco with SM and airplane tickets regarding sasaengs, ffs).

I know no one likes him here and calls him a woman beater for cursing at and threatening to beat the shit out of "fans," but this is why I can't really fault him for it. I would have probably snapped and done much worse. I mean, I don't condone violence, but back in my Cassiopeia days I even saw fancams where fans were grabbing at his dick as he walked through airports and parking lots, etc, so idk.
