Seeing how JYPE has expanded over the last 5 years, I'm not expecting any of the old hat mishaps of managing multiple girlgroups.

However that doesn't mean new problems can't arise... Twice and Itzy can exist.

Is Twice's concept strictly 'Cute'? I never got cute from them. Yes, it's what they obviously give in all their material, but when I think of cute I think Gfriend, or A-Pink or Lovelyz.

i would call those groups "innocent", not necessarily cute (although some of their songs fit the bill)
overall twice's image fits the "colorful, sugary" type of cute imo... "what is love" was one of their most aegyo-ful releases to date

It’s not strictly cute (if you’re using Apink or Lovelyz as a base), but it is definitely just the same content wrapped in a slightly different wrapping paper.
Bright chirpy singing about a shallow take on love that is reminiscent of a young teen’s first crush over a nice bright sound with a visual that focuses on making the group as non threatening and adorable as possible (the constant smiling, the use of mild comedy to make them seem more fun, and anytime they do something “dark” it’s hard to take seriously). The only thing TWICE doesn’t have is that bells and wind chime like aspect those other two do musically (GFriend is a beast of their own), instead using a more modern, fun and vague pop sound (unless their is a clear influence ie Signal or Dance The Night Away)

Good. I’m no longer learning more than four people’s names and I already know Chaeryeong so there’s that.
Other than perceived logistics (which to be frank I don’t care about for the most part), I’m tired of having to learn all these names and faces if I want to get into a group. Smaller groups need to come back in style

That would be a perfect combo. Jisu is a very good vocalist too and she is pretty much set for this group. There’s also the actress/ idol Shin Eun Soo that they marketed a little as the new Suzy. Hope they scrapped the idea of another Sixteen, but I doubt JYPE actually gives a fuck about starting a new group with girls not having to have a mental breakdown first. Chaeryong became even more beautiful and cool so I hope she will get to promote besides her sister during and IZONE comeback.

Hopefully they'll be better managed than Miss A... because JYP lost so many potential with them. I miss them so much :(
This said, I'm really looking forward to it! I don't mind big groups (my ults are GG and some of my current favourites have from 8 to 12 members lol) but it's refreshing to get smaller groups again.

jyp has been putting out good stuff pretty consistently and it seems that he takes care of his artists. I'm interested.
