"The one who was sexually harassed was me": San E Accuses SBS Of Reporting “Fake News”

This happened before San E and Brand New Music ended their contract together

On December 4, San E uploaded a video titled “SBS’s Misogynist San E Framing …Stop the Witch Hunt” on his personal YouTube channel. (watch the full vid here)

In the video, he stated, “I watched major network [SBS’s news coverage]. They edited [the video] really maliciously. They sidelined the entire situation of that place and edited parts together to frame me as a misogynistic rapper. As a major network everyone watches, they created fake news and reported it just like that.”

He continued, “The one who was sexually harassed was me. The media said it was just some [of the audience], but those that came to the [Brand New Concert] will know. It was a situation in which I was even hit by character assassination. I’ll be taking strong legal action against those who insulted, sexually harassed, and threw things at me during the concert.”

Previously, San E reignited the controversy surrounding his thoughts on feminism at the “Brand New Year 2018” concert on December 2. When he came on stage near the end of the concert, he was met by boos from the crowd and a pig doll with words criticizing San E was also thrown onto the stage. In response, San E lashed out at critics, saying, “All the Womad and Megal [Megalia] who came, there’s something I’ve been meaning to say. I don’t give a f***. Womad is poison. Feminist no. You all are mentally sick.” Both Brand New Music and its CEO Rhymer apologized for the incident.

The rapper later released another track titled “Oong Ang Oong” and continued to criticize controversial, radical feminist online communities Womad and Megalia.

In response to San E’s comments, a source at SBS stated that the SBS newsroom was currently “discussing matters.”
