Twice will release a new album in December, there will be no broadcast promotions

JYP Entertainment announced that TWICE would be dropping a special album next month as a gift to their fans.

A representative of the agency stated, “TWICE will be releasing a new album in December. We will inform of you the precise details in the near future. This upcoming album is like a gift that TWICE has prepared for their fans in time for the holiday season, and as it is a special album, there will not be any broadcast promotions [for the album] in particular.”

TWICE is still currently in the midst of promotions for their sixth mini album “YES or YES,” which they released earlier this month. The group also recently confirmed that they would be performing at the historic Japanese year-end music show Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle), making them the first K-pop girl group in history to appear on the show for two years in a row.

I mean it's a good thing they're not promoting. They'd need Hermione's time-turner with all the end of year shit in December.

That said, every time another TWICE comeback is announced, whether in Korea or Japan, I run to r/kpop to see the LET THEM REST vs THEY REALLY LOVE PROMOTING, OKAY, THEY SAID SO THEMSELVES fights. Goes great with dinner.

(also, hope for another bop of a song. but a xmas ballad would be great too! actually a xmas ballad would be perfect for no broadcast promotions.)

I could see them doing a cheerful mid-tempo one, maybe focus more on vocals (especially if they're not promoing on stage so there's less dancing and ~charms~ to keep you entertained, lol) and I think it would be a good testing the waters for if they really do plan on going more mature in the future. IDK, I just think it would be the perfect opportunity to go off type, but JYP is also really invested them in making more money than ever.
