Happy Friday! I got most of my black Friday shopping done last night. I don’t even remember what happened in the post turkey haze. Apparently a 22 piece Tupperware set and 2 new crock pots happened idk wtf. Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, let’s check out the top songs for the 4th week of November, 2012. Lots of soloists this week.


#3 K. Will “Please Don’t”
Every time this song is mentioned, I only ever think of the music video. Because the video alone has reached iconic levels. I never just think of the actual song lol. It’s good, but I think he sounds better than the song itself though. Here’s a very dramatic Music Core comeback performance in a tunnel. This is probably the first time I can see the K.Will and Daesung resemblance. But like, Daesung from back in 2010.

#2 Ailee “I Will Show You”
I feel like this is probably one of her most popular and recognizable songs, but I’m still not into it. I just don’t like her up tempo stuff, I guess. But she sounds really good. And she looked great this era, especially when that strong fan started blowing that hair around lol. Great makeup too.

#1 Lee Hi “1, 2, 3, 4”
It’s been 2 ½ years since her last album, and I swear last year YG was talking about her getting a comeback soon. After she was crying on that JYP show. Right? Am I remembering that right? This was her debut song, the first single off of a pretty successful debut album. Here’s a performance from Sketchbook, from 2016 when she was on the show promoting her Seoulite albulm.

#5 Miss A “I Don’t Need A Man”
I liked this song, and it’s probably one of the first ones I think of when I think of the group. I also really liked the live stages more because I liked the styling this era. Suzy is so pretty, ugh.

#8 Hyuna “Ice Cream”
I don’t mind the song, but I’m not into the MV at all. I did enjoy one thing about the video though: ice cream. I like ice cream. I miss ice cream. After a lifetime of dairy, a few years ago my body decided that I have had enough. And now I have to carry lactose pills with me everywhere. I can’t remember the last time I had cheese on a burger or drank whole milk. Omg chocolate milk made with Hershey’s syrup, omg I want! I’m rambling again. I miss this hair and heavy bangs on her. She had a version of this hair for a while lol.

I Will Show You is probably my favorite Ailee fast tempo song. I love the message and the vocals. But Ailee is a ballad queen and those are the songs I love from her the most.

Ice cream (ice cream, I'll melt you down like ice cream) might be the first time I recognized Hyuna as a separate entity from 4minute but still before I realized she was WG!Hyuna lol

That mini was really cute/fun. 'Very Hot' is a bop TO THIS DAY as is 'Don't Fall Apart'

The I don't need a man mini is a FAVORITE but I like the title track the least.

It really is. The song introduced me to a wonderful soloist and the MV pulled off the twist so well of a man pining over his male friend who is getting married. It’s one of the most memorable MVs for me

Also it kinda bums me out we went from Miss A had a range in their concept themes where Twice is mostly focused on falling for your crush or at least a very narrow selection of messages. I know songs like Likey strays a bit and Yes or Yes is more assertive but I can’t imagine JYP giving them a track like I Dont Need A Man today :/
