I love the vibe of this song, but the processing of the voices sound a bit off, like Yuju sounds a bit flu/stuck throat?

yes, it's different from her usual style of singing, the producer said he wanted this song to be sang without focusing in technique, be more raw.

"In November issue ‘Cramming’, GFriend Yuju participated as a vocalist. Yoon Jong Shin wanted a young vocalist, which is about twenty years old, to sing this song, and after searching around for best vocalist of the age, he met Yuju.

What Yoon Jong Shin requested Yuju was an uncompleted feeling. Not a skillful vocal, but a vocal that anxiety, trembling and pathetic feelings is shown without reserve.

Yoon Jong Shin delivered his feelings that “I talked a lot with Yuju about the character’s emotions. As it is a situation that the character has to prepare breaking up as if it is a cramming, so many sentiments had to be filled within very short moment,” and also said that, “Anxious, annoyed, wants to beg, and at the same time wants to give up. It was not an easy ask, but Yuju has really followed my request.”
