I disagree. Baekhyun and Chen have just as much stage presence and energy, if not more as they have the vocal power as an it factor to wow on stage. They all deserve a shot at center, and more for one second. One person monopolizing in the center is bland and lazy.

Whether new to k-pop or not, it doesn't matter. That's really a poor excuse to try and deflect upon a valid criticism of an antiquated roles and rules in k-pop.

Groups evolve over time and some members grow and others stay in the same place. So it's not a good excuse to say "center person is chosen before debut and it rarely changes" and to not challenge whether a center should change or the roles should be shared. If we can discuss and debate the unfairness of line distribution, why can't center changes be challenged and debated without being brushed aside as if it's a newbie question or that it's a "that's the way it is" response? And I'm sorry but if k-pop companies can come up with elaborate themes that carry from era to era, like exo's has, I don't see why they can't incorporate a different lead or "center" to go with the story line as it progresses. For them to not do so is lazy.

You know what I agree. The op just annoyed me when they said Kai was overrated. Like he doesn't work hard to be in that position. It would be nice to see it switch up but unfortunately kpop is known to stick to certain formulas. And it's not just exo, it's almost every other group as well.
