Gugudan's titles are getting better and better?

As 'controversial' as it was IDLYG was really interesting and fun IMO but lalala was just too typical (especially with the FAR more dynamic & dance choreographed Iron Boy on the mini) and their newest title leaves me cold.

Meanwhile A girl like me was fantastic, Chococo was cute/silly, the boots was chic synth and this feels like a direction WM should have gone instead.

IA that their recent song left me cold too. Weki Meki pulls off this style really well but the songs don’t go as hard as they could, while imo Gugudan kinda feels like they’re trying too hard to look tough/the clothes are wearing them but this song did what I was expecting from Weki Meki. It actually gets going and doesn’t appear cutesy anywhere

The styling is the same as Weki Meki but the dancing/genre is different, WM songs are a lot more upbeat with a more fun than badass vibe (and a lot more dissonant in sound/song structure).

I'm conflicted haha. I really like the pre-chorus, everyone (except Soyee) got decent lines/screen time, I like the attitude and Nayoung owns it. I just wish the song had a stronger chorus

distribution wise, Mimi and Soyee doesn't seem to be getting much (but hoping for Soyee to do adlibs, I think I heard her in the last chorus?) It's a pity for Soyee not to get more screentime too, because this feels like it would suit her considering her height and type of visuals.

I’m like a positive kind of eh. Like I like it but don’t like it enough for some reason. Still it’s a nice song and Gugudan have yet to give me bad. It’s also been mind blowing that nobody had harped on how often they switch their concept.

Also small nitpick but I wish they would film everything with some consistency. I loved the natural lighting and outside scenes. Even that one scene in that red and yellow tunnel/hallway just felt...I don’t know how to explain it but I lived for it. There was a sort of realness to them...and it was super obvious (at least to me) when they were on a set.
