All members of The East Light are parting ways with Media Line Entertainment.

On October 22, the agency revealed through an official statement, “After deep consideration, we are announcing that we have decided on terminating the company’s contracts with the remaining four members of The East Light (Lee Eun Sung, Jung Sa Gang, Lee Woo Jin, and Kim Jun Wook).”

The statement explains that the agency discussed with the four members and their parents on what the best choice would be, and originally a press conference was planned with the four members in attendance.

The statement continues, “However, we had the concern of the young members receiving additional pain as they stand in the center of the issue through this press conference, and considering the members’ pain and futures as the priority, we reached the conclusion that terminating the four members’ contracts would be the best measure. We are discussing the contract termination process with the four members’ parents.”

Media Line Entertainment adds, “We worry about the members feeling uncertainty for their futures with the termination of the contracts, but we ask for your support so that the young members can no longer be hurt and dream again after healing their pains. In addition, as the controversy continues to grow and is brought to attention continuously, we will not take unnecessarily respond to press in consideration of the potential pain of the six members including the brothers (Lee Seok Chul and Lee Seung Hyun).”

“Also, we will diligently participate in the upcoming legal investigation, and in this process, we will not avoid responsibility and address problems. We sincerely request that the speculative reports without investigation results that can cause pain to the members will no longer be released from this time forth,” the statement concludes.

I had another post with more information to share, but then i read something that really upset me and I needed to take a step back from this. To share, during their weekly music broadcast on June 13th 2017, two members were noticably missing and they changed locations from their usual recording place to a cafe nearby. One of Lee Seokcheol's detailed accounts talks about a June 13th 2017. I remember watching that episode live...

Good but that being said, this is not enough, it's the bare minimal.This all problem needs to be adressed once and for all. The petition is almost 200 000, let's reach it. I'm not here to see those kids simply replaced, I'm here to see those bastards facing the consequences they should.

This company is really trying it with this false narrative where even in the language they hope that the East Light survives the termination but also that nothing more comes out about the group.

This is not a measured response from a company trying to do damage control. This is a passive aggressive threat that termination will be least of their issues if more things are brought to light.

i know the agency is trying to look good by terminating their contracts but they still let all this happen. the justice system needs to punish the agency and make sure that they will never be able to do this again. but above all i really pray these will get all the help and love they deserve. i can't imagine how traumatizing and confusing everything must have been for them.

good. that's the least those assholes could do. Going public like the boys did unearths a lot of trauma I hope that they're encouraged to take some time away from public music industry stuff, go to school or a class somewhere, be normal for a bit. See what comes up as far as offers or anything but don't rush back into a situation that has no guarantees of being better.

omg! in one hand im glad all members are free from those monsters but ... this sound like agency will try to silent them, i bet they have already confidentiality agreement attached to their contract

i hope all of them find strenght to follow their dreams and realise abuse wasnt their fault or something they need to endure to be a successful band
