Seems like they went for a more sensual approach to this compared to f(x)'s quirky cute take. The lyrics of this version are way better but I think it was smart to give the track to f(x) considering it turned out to be one of their biggest hits and the "hot summer" hook flows better than 'takeover"

Yea while the song isn’t catchy to me, reading the lyrics in English, I can completely get behind it. Loving yourself, being confident contributes to your attractiveness, not trying so hard or focusing so much on how to attract the guy you like, I much prefer those messages.

Edit: when you think about it it's pretty weird that this song came out around the time when snsd debuted with ITNW. They went for the innocent concept, while Babar & Mandy, who were the same age as the soshi girls, were dropping fierce bop after fierce bop
looking back it's gross how much they sexualized mandy from the start, she was only 16 when she joined the band and they couldn't really give the others the sexy image because they were muslims. she had her first FHM shoot when she was only 17 and a year later was voted as the sexiest woman alive. it was fun back then but thinking about it now... :/ i'm just glad that she turned out rather "fine" (if you don't count her endless plastic surgeries)
Their label doesn't exist anymore so Spotify deleted their songs (and the songs from their former labelmates, that's if they didn't move to a new one). I think labels have to pay to get songs on Spotify and if no one pays for it then.. 💁
This is a super rough demo lmao. Nice hearing it though, especially that the instrumentation in this version is alot closer to Monrose's original than the f(x) one.
I've never been much of a fan of this song lol XD But I can dig the different feel that each group was going for. I never imagined that we'd finally get the Soshi version after so many years. I thought this would be locked away in the dungeon forever. The demo sounds rough but I loved the lyrics and the rap. The f(x) version is catchier and it gave the girls a hit but I am curious as to what the polished version with Soshi would have looked like if they performed it. Now can SM release all the other OT9 demos?
