Commenters speculate that the girl group was Laboum since you can see their company's logo at 1:46 before the censor pops up, and Grace mentions a successful girl group from the company which could be Brown Eyed Girls.

As much as it is the company's fault I also find fandoms have way too much power and it's really startling in some cases. I remember back in the day one group lost any momentum because fans were mad their one member looked like Jaejoong from JYJ. I never listened to them but imagine graduating from this type of system and then being under contract not being able to release anything for that reason. The whole system needs to be redone

I think some of the big 3 still have trainee debt- they just also provide salaries or they get their groups enough work that it gets paid fairly quickly. Didn’t twice set a record for recouping their costs?

I think you keep the trainee debt if you debut and if you get dropped, they absorb the cost.

The recent case of KNK is honestly a shining example of how companies that go under or have financial issues should behave. YNB Entertainment definitely had mismanagement issues but the staff did a lot for KNK and it's clear they care for the boys since they dissolved their contracts without penalty, let Youjin first go on hiatus and then withdraw because of his panic disorder and are letting them keep their name/back catalogue.
