anyways i stand by what i said in a previous post, which was that the 1st half of the chorus should be in korean and the 2nd half should be english. just flows better that way to me. like did we really need two versions when there could have been a much superior combo song? nah

Thank goodness this time they actually show Doyoung and Taeil singing when their parts come up. Feels like I see everybody's faces more clearly and the choreo too. Also Haechan with a sparkly billiard stick = gold.

i mentioned it in a comment in the last pot but the narrative choices/editing phycology between the two versions are rly interesting to me and say a lot about how the production team (and SM by extension since they have final approvals) see making an MV for an american audience vs a Korean one.

Anyway they shouldn't have scrapped the tiger from the first verse. otherwise it's nice to see brighter shots and more of the choreo.

I think it definitely does play into that dream/reality concept but I think the english version did a better job of getting it across imo. they removed a lot of the world building elements and replaced it with member screen time, and I know that makes a lot of people happy, it sacrificed a lot of the really interesting things the MV could have done. I'd almost have rather had the world building back in during some parts instead of more screentime for mark and jaehyun, especially from a technical standpoint since there was so much work and intricate detail work in some of those shots.

i actually like the english version better than the korean one. the flow in the english version is much smoother than here. it was nice to see more of the other members though! haechan's voice is definitely one of my favourites in the group and taeyong needs to chill with the over top lipsyncing cause he looks ridiculous lol

This redeems the song a bit but it is still boring af and drags out too long.
Also I love him but ENOUGH Taeyong, he doesn't need 15 different action shots. Too much Mark too, but ENOUGH with Taeyong.

Does this band really need a hype crew behind them when there are so many of them anyhow? Also I liked the billiards balls, those were cool. That tiger was unnecessary again.

In my honest opinion, only a stan could love this. They lost me with that Black on Black mess and I was really hoping this would bring me back, but nope. This sounds dated too. NCT are the kings of the freshest bops and this ain't it.
