i genuinely can't see them thriving beyond the AKB stans.. we saw how Japan reacted to AKB's most recent single, they're just too kpopy for the usual tastes in jpop, so we'll see how much of a success it is even if it bops.

i hope they do well regardless even tho I'm bitter at the lineup too

crush got a half assed video, iz*one is making a proper debut at the end of this month. give it time, the j-line has been flying back and forth non stop between korea and japan.

idk, produce 101 has always been so ~center~ focused that it just feels off to me. i was def expecting a switch off between sakura and wonyoung but yuri caught me off guard.

I've been seeing a lot of tweets that they'll be debuting on Oct.29, so they've been building up the debut hype with lots of vlives. They need a really good debut song though if they want to maintain the momentum. Looking at the results of the past two seasons, people didn't really like Dream Girls... and Energetic was pretty liked by even the general public.


Also, kind of off-topic but since w1's comeback is rumored to be on the week of Nov.19, does this mean they'll have overlapping promotions or will iz*one be heading to Japan? Since the new senbatsu single featuring J-Line will be released around Nov.24...

I liked IOI quite a bit towards the end of their run and I hated Dreamgirls, it was so kidz boppy. I know the girls are young but they deserve better than that. Whereas I don’t give a fuck about Wanna One and I can acknowledge I really like Energetic lmao

i've liked yuri from the start but i wish she'd ranked lower within the group bc she's been getting a ton of backlash for coming in 3rd place (which i'll be the first one to admit was suspicious as hell)

man i was shocked and kinda disappointed by the final lineup (only bc of who didn't get in, i don't think any of the final 12 deserved to be lower) but i'm over it. everyone else needs to get over it too. there's no way of proving mnet did or didn't manipulate results, sometimes unexpected results just happen
this video though... ugh man i just wish it were more zoomed in? and that they changed positions more? i get having the top 3 girls in the center but they should have at least rotated the lower girls out of the back a bit
(and why only the korean version of the song?)
