Every week I search the past charts for this day and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. We’re getting into the songs that are popular in the fall and winter. Lots of ballads on the charts coming up in the coming months. This week, let’s see what was on top for the 1st week of October, 2010.


#3 2NE1 “Go Away”
I think I’ve only seen the MV once before, I vaguely remember all the car racing. Don’t remember the guy being such a violent scumbag though. Did he like, die at the end? And Dara just sashay awaying from the fiery crash like it’s nothing is so lol. Red hair Park Bom is always the best Park Bom hair.

#2 Supreme Team featuring Youngjun “Then Then Then”
I don’t understand this video at all. With the song lyrics I think it’s about trying to break up with a clingy partner. But both of them seem kind of clingy in the MV.

#1 Sung Si Kyung “It’s You”
The original song features IU, and I could only find one live stage with the two of them together. But I already posted that before. There’s some bad concert fancams, though lol. So here’s a performance that he did on SuperstarK with SuperstarK alum Park Bo Ram.

#4 Lim Jeong Hee “It Can’t Be Real”
For some reason I didn’t recognize that that’s Jo Kwon until almost halfway through wtf. I think it’s because I’ve ever seen him with so much angst before lol. And that suit and that hair is such a good look on him! The music video has all the Inception feels. I do know I’ve heard this song before, it sounds very familiar.

#9 Lee Juck “With You”
I really like this MV. It reminds me of the indie rock and emo videos from the early 2000s. And also like something that would be a show on Netflix lol. I like the song, and I like Lee Juck’s voice, but not the two together. I like his ballads more.

Listening to an old song you absolutely loved back in the days is always a surreal almost time-traveling experience for me ! I tend to listen over and over to songs i like so the song get heavily linked to the memories and everything i lived when i was listening to it...And being able to remember so precisely how "then,then,then" goes after 8 years of not listening to it...The mind is amazing ahah

Pre-I AM THE BEST 2NE1!
I think the To Anyone era is very underrated in terms of 2NE1 eras. (I think mostly because it basically got overshadowed not even a year later.)
Semi off-topic, but I heard about Bom on that new YG Netflix show, and I have mixed feelings about it. It's fine that she's on it. (Tasteless jokes (IMO) and all.) I'm just bothered that once again, YG Entertainment is milking Bom while the getting is good. I actually would've been fine had they not even mentioned 2NE1 in any capacity. (I know, I do sound a bit confused!)

Go Away had my favorite 2NE1 choreography...though it was simple, it was fun to watch what all the members were doing during the frozen party scenes. Plus CL throwing confetti/glitter in the dude's face was lol
