It's my birthday! Champagne and raspberry cake at the menu tonight hahaha.
I can't wait to watch the new The Good Place episode, it's such a sweet show and they left on another twist (though this time I expected it more). I first I picked it up only because the aesthetics reminded me a little of Pushing Daisies but the writing is really good and I like how the characters evolve. Anyone knows a show similar to it?

I tend to use the psychological. I tell myself that it'll never work for whatever reason. If I start getting those love sick symptoms (dry mouth, heart speeding up, etc) I reprimand myself and tell myself to get it together. Haha.

Hi omona! First thing’s first...I love Loona so much and I’m so glad they exist. I was really into the second generation girl groups, so when they started dying off (for lack of better wording) and the new girl groups were appearing, I was worried bc there weren’t any I liked...but then Loona came along and I’m so happy? I rewatched the Hi High MV the other day and it made me so happy I started crying LOL, I love the song and the group and I hope they find success on the path of being idols!!

Secondly, I’m surprised I haven’t seen it on here but...I guess Minzy is having a solo tour across the US? I went on Facebook the other day and saw she’s coming to my city at the end of November. On one hand I’m SUPER excited bc I loved 2ne1, but on the other...I didn’t like her solo debut and I don’t think she’s had any comebacks since? So I guess it’s gonna be a 2ne1 cover concert like CL’s. Can we talk about how it’s almost exactly two years after CL’s solo US tour AND she’s performing at the same venue bee CL did...sorry I love stirring the pot LMAO

I finally got I Got a Boy, Lovelyz's Destiny and Loona's debut mini album but had to send them to my parents' house, they arrived earlier this month (after ONE FULL MONTH of shipping wtf TT) and I'll only be able to pick them tonight. Can't wait!

I was associating Twice with a mint colour but they went for magenta/apricot for their official colours :') On the other side I liked a deep blue for GFriend and that's one of their official colours!
I also associate Loona with a pinkish purple but I'm betting they'll never have one colour since each member have their own.
Deep red, almost burgundy for (g)idle and yellow for CLC
It would make a fun game to pick one colour for each group without knowing about their fandom colour and then check :)

Happy weekend omona! I started a new job last week but this is my first full week so I’m really feeling the Friday vibe. I’m in a city where I’ve yet to see a single other Asian than myself (including my office which is 100% white except me) and I hate standing out like this. I already had one racist incident where a HR person pulled their eyes at me while “complimenting me on not having extreme eyes”, which was shocking but other than that people leave me alone and I haven’t received or at least noticed any extra attention on the streets. Still not a fan of this feeling though, my childhood was me as the sole brown person in the neighborhood/school etc so I kind of had enough of that. Also miss having WoC coworkers/friends because why wouldn’t I.

I was going to ask for a nct dream recap depository, because I'm already dreading the end of all this got7 magic. But I think I'm going to give iKon another chance. They seem like punks, which are more my speed. NCT Dream are babies, right? Maybe next week.....

men...I live in SF and am a lawyer, and I have been a rageball all week at the fact that all the white men I work with are basically like *shrug* *all men do it* *it's not that big a deal*. B-tch, just because you too did it does not mean it's NOT a big deal! Be better! Evolve! Grow! Also, partisian ship and credibility does go to fitness for the job, PAY THE F* ATTENTION. I mean, they all believe Prof. Ford, but they also think it's kind of not that big a deal. I am consistently amazed at how fragile men are. (yes, I know we're all guilty of this sometimes.) I'm going to my women's college reunion this weekend, and I think it will arm me with new thoughts and soothe my soul a bit.

Feeling very worn out and frustrated at the entirety of the Congressional hearings. I won't go on and on unless someone wants to chat about it, but I feel powerless and so hopeless right now.
Bar results come out on Monday (rumor mills churns these facts) and I'm trying to not throw up every time I think about it.
Going to see Amber in December, hopefully there are less hormonal teens trying to turn the concert into a mosh pit and more respectful folks instead.

I got tickets for day6 in Minneapolis a couple of weekends ago and super excited but like, how do people make friends at concerts now a days? Twitter?? I usually go to concerts alone and I kinda keep to myself but I feel like a kpop concert is a bit different and may require a bit more socialization? Maybe I’m too much of a old geezer bc idk how social media works now a days so maybe I’ll just go and hope for the best. Also I’m disappointed with the basic ass merch and trying to decide if it’s worth getting the light stick or not hahahah.

So Sechskies Kang Sunghoon has made his controversy into an even bigger mess. He/his fan club is being sued for fraud/embezzlement after a fan meet in Taiwan was canceled and people weren't refunded. He's potentially dating a fan club admin, although other reports says she had not official role in the club, yet was still handling matters and making decisions. NOW, news reports came out of him and Ms. Park confronting his ex-manager Kim outside his home. His ex-manager called the police on him twice. Apparently the ex-manager was a YG employee (so presumably not hired by KSH) and he was a friend of the husband of the lady who works at Woori, who are the event organizers suing Hoony's fanclub. The fanclub and Woori blame each other for visa problems that caused the faert to have to be canceled. There's even more to this mess, but this is what I can remember. There's just been so much back and forth, and it's stressful as a fan. Hoony's not participating in the upcoming concert, and they've postponed Sechskies' comeback.

someone mentioned sortedfood in the last FFA post so i decided to watch one of their episodes and now it has become one of my faves channel on youtube!!! i'm particularly fond of james (a soft-spoken grumpy currie what a cutie!!!) and ben (him in that black chef jacket combined with black-rimmed glasses and also his passion for food and learning about it got me already). on the first few episodes i watched, i didn't know their personality yet and how they play off each other so i thought they were a bit mean but now that i get to know them more from watching more episodes, i enjoy watching them a lot more. has anyone tried their recipes yet? kinda interested to get a copy of their recipe books even though i rarely cook lol.

Just had a bit of a scare like 30 minutes ago. I had ordered some food and as I was walking to the front door to pick it up, I see it's wide open and there's this dude busying himself with picking up my aunt's sound system and hauling it into a car. Million thoughts went through my head, like "my fucking dogs are kenneled, this bitch better not hurt my mom, I'm so short so I'm gonna die", but at the same time my fight instinct kicked in and I got ready to throw hands down.

I walked up to him and pretty much hollered "who the fuck are you? what the hell are you doing in my house?" I think I actually scared him a bit. The guy was very polite though and explained that my aunt had sent him to pick the system up and that one of my other aunts and the housekeeper were keeping an eye on him. At that point my aunt had come out and had to calm me down but I was so scared and so angry because why the hell hadn't she let me know there was some dude tinkering around.

He was very understanding as I apologized to him. I just about shat my pants but the shakes have gone down now. Also ate my burger. It was pretty good.

I got really sick this morning so I had to call in sick to my hospital rotation and missed my own separate presentation this morning, so I feel like crap mentally on top of feeling like crap physically. I know I can't help when I get sick, but it always seems to happen when I have some presentation coming up and then it seems like I'm flaking out. I'm not, I swear!!! But it happens anyway.

It's probably that I'm really nervous, and then my immune system gets shot, and then I catch the next bug I come across. But it still sucks something awful.
