TVXQ's new Japanese album "TOMORROW" tops Oricon Daily Album Chart upon release

TVXQ’s popularity in Japan sees no signs of diminishing any time soon!

The group dropped their ninth Japanese studio album “TOMORROW” on September 19, and the album topped Oricon’s daily album chart (dated September 18) on the day of its release. It notably recorded 89,026 sold units in the first day alone. The album also placed first on iTunes Japan’s album chart.

“TOMORROW” includes 13 tracks, eight new songs as well as Japanese versions or remakes of past releases.

TVXQ will also be heading on another arena and dome tour “TVXQ Live Tour 2018 ~TOMORROW~” beginning with concerts in Saitama on September 26-28. They will be holding a total of 32 concerts across 12 cities, with their final eight concerts being at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

werk it kings but i wish they gave us more korean content. i know they're filling their pockets and sm's in japan but japanese music is way more hard to access and i'm still bitter about the fact that we didn't get a tcol repack.

same tbh. i understand that japan is adopting them anytime soon loves them more than sk does but getting japan content is like going on a treasure hunt every time.

I'm happy that they're making bank because gosh darnit they deserve it. Of course I would love more Korean content and I too am salty of the lack of repackage for TCOL because damn what an album that was.
They're not young enough to appeal to SK's youth-obsessed industry anymore even though they're OG legends who could perform circles around all the youngins, but I think their retreat from the SK scene will pave the way for them to eventually settle down and have wives and kids (both have expressed interest in getting married and starting families after military service). Japan not only adores them way more than SK, but it is way easier in their media industry to stay relevant even if you get married and have a family.

oh don't get me wrong, i totally understand the decision they made and i support it too bc all i want is their success and happiness. between selling out the nissan stadium and korea doing you dirty i'd pick the first one too, but as a non japanese fan, it's very frustrating not beeing able to enjoy them in full.

i'd be happy with a yearly album + repackage and a week of promo in korea tbh, i'm not asking for much TT

I agree with you. Although most of their Japanese releases, if not all of them, are now available on Spotify, which was unbelievable some years ago. Still, I tend to prefer the style of their Korean releases so I wish they were more active in Korea, but well we got an album this year so I can't complain!

Along with the other comments, I also wanted a repackage for TCOL and more Korean promotions. I think TOMORROW is one of their more solid Japanese albums after TONE. I had a lot more songs I liked on this album than their last couple of Japanese albums. I am happily surprised that TOMORROW is already on spotify.
