Tbh this video was what I expected from their first single of the year. And some of the dance moves are a little more sensual than what they've served up before. But I'm here for it.
I looooved dreams come true, and while this song is nice as well it sounds very safe. The mv is a lot easier on the eyes but I think I liked the dreams come true mv a little more too (if you ignore the color grading). The close up shots of Seola's (?) eyes with her sparkly makeup are so pretty!
I think the choreo is nice but idk how I feel about the parts where they're literally feeling each other up lol. Starship's really big on this lately, they've been doing that with MX too. just less extreme I guess.
Yea the parts of them touching a members chest/torso was really noticeable. It just comes off as fan servicey which I can see big fans eating up but for me I need context and a mood to be set for that, and here it felt a little random
Edit - read the lyrics, ok it’s not pretty random since the song is sexual. But eh still feels like it’s male gazey *shrugs*
I agree :( Also I know some fans will see it as lesbian romance (not dismissing anyone who perceived that way) and I’m bi so I’d be all for it that was their intent, but based on the translation videos I watched, I saw ‘him’ used so it’s clearly about a het relationship, so I know it’s not intended for me
Relieved to see I'm not the only one disconcerted by all the touching.
Knowing what I know about the industry, I would say that is pandering to the male fantasy, and I also wonder about how comfortable the girls actually feel about all of this. I feel like they've been persuaded to do something for the sake of gaining popularity.
Of course it's not like I have insider info, it just leaves me with a bit of an icky feeling.
They got such nice exposure during the debut era and then when Yeonjung joined Starship just went..... why bother with the others when we have her? Lmao their loss though
MV is pretty, love it and the filters are nice! No glitter lens flare too so it’s good. Luda and Eunseo are so damn gorgeous they’re the standouts here.
A bit put off by the overt touching, but then again some of the members are quite touchy themselves so hopefully it’s not forced? But the bridge move with Yeonjung is a little weird. Song wise, it’s nothing special, would have wanted something more pumped up though. And with ChengXiao gone, seems like Bona is taking up all the centres? But yay for Exy getting starting centre and more than 1 rap, plus Yeoreum finally unleashing her lead/sub rapper position
I LOVE THIS!!! i like it much better than dreams come true, i've been watching the video and their busking performances of it all day. i think the floor choreo is a lil' misplaced but i don't hate it, either. luda and yeoreom's center part is great, tho and i'm all for more exy raps!
as usual, we need more dawon & soobin, pls!!! i don't get the focus on dayoung / bona in their line distribution
idk how to feel about blonde seola song falls a little flat for me but their stylist is putting in work!!! loved all their outfits. yeoreum looks super cute
edit: NVM i watched the fancams of this and the song BOPS. the choreo is quality and makes the perfomance so enjoyable!!! probably my favorite wjsn choreo as of now. that last part where they come up to meet yeonjung in a line and come forward together is killer
It's much slower than I expected, I wish the chorus would have more impact but it's otherwise a good song I like what they did with the MV Looking forward to the stages!

srsly what do starship have against dawon??? the line distribution here isn't too bad but giving one of your main vocalists so little do to seems idiotic.
yeoreum and my queen luda getting lines? i love it this is closer to the sound i was expecting after secret (i'll stan that song forever) i don't like that move where they're all on the floor but i think i enjoyed this overall
well, it's a low-key bop? it's quite understated and mellow, but it grows with every listen. i like the overall vibe and aes, but it doesn't feel as coherent as i would've liked it. i think i prefer dreams come true over this actually, but they're both solid
gotta say tho, not a fan of the sexualised choreo. i don't think i can remember the last time i've seen so much homoerotic fanservice in an idol song lol
