the first part sounded so much like shine i was worried they were gonna momoland themselves but the other parts were different enough to make this a brand new entirely different song. Or like, a less juvenile version of shine. Hui looks good.
The song is honestly not that good (to me anyway) although I really love the chorus and some other parts here and there but as a whole it's just not cohesive? I like the mv. The ending and the little kids with the frog raincoats are especially cute. At some points they're straight up reusing shine choreo but it's cute? I hope this does well regardless
As much as they tried their hardest is not another Shine. I liked the chorus since the previews and the song is ok. Probably won't be my fav from the album tho
i really enjoyed it. It was similar to shine, but it definitely is its own song. I was jamming to it more than shine because its a bit more groovy and vibey. i could tell which parts were originally e'dawn's :(
the song will take some warming up to but I like it on first listen. the MV tho is so...not a kpop mv. I love it. they rly just went full normcore slice of life without any kind of kpop polish there. even compared to the Runaway vid where they work in an autobody shop this is so different to that feeling.
hongseok in the yellow sweater was adorable. it's nice that shinwon got more lines and showed up earlier in songs he's been paid dust in a lot of titles.
I was worried it would be a Shine 2.0 at first, and it wasn't looking too good with that call-back to Shine at the start but it luckily came around... Decent song and cute MV.
I'm feelin this. Of their animal-themed title tracks (can't believe that there are more than one lol) this is way better than Gorilla. Their stages are gonna be so memetastic
I'm hoping for a return to the Demo aesthetic for the next comeback but this is fun!
i wish the entire chorus sounded like the post-chorus part lol. the actual chorus is kind of weak (the frog dance didn't help my impression of it either). the hook just has such a feel-good vibe to it with the brassy elements and the sing-along shtick
